Just got around to seeing this one, so a little late I know, but... Davie, I don't play bass. I have never really had interest in playing bass (horrifying, I know). But a couple years ago when I was going through a very very dark chapter in my own life, I accidentally watched one of your videos (sorry, I don't remember which one). Your sense of humor and clear passion for your craft was very endearing to me during that time. I subscribed and have been watching your videos when the algorithm feeds them to me ever since. One of the biggest things that keeps me watching your videos is how you will say something that's not very serious or joking, but you have this sad emotional music that makes it feel meaningful and it cracks me up. You are an inspiration as a bass player and a content creator, and it's good to see you doing something you love even though there are jealous people who want to drag your name through the mud. Keep doing what you're doing! Your videos have helped me through depressing times, where all I had for comfort were youtubers who just wanted to spread laughter and joy.
Dave, English is not may native language, I don' play bass (or any other instrument) and I don't follow many UA-camrs. I am a police officer in Croatia and watch your videos mostly at home after night shifts before going to sleep, because they make me laugh and calm me, even with all those slaps. I just want to say that you are doing good job and you are helping people like me to carry on, so if you don't film any more video, that's fine, you did enough and we have materials to rewatch ror years, don't be hard on yourself. :)

I used to play Bass I started when I was 14 and played in a Metal band for 14 years I stopped playing after Getting married and Having Children I just didn't have the time anymore But you've been one of the inspirations for Me to Play again and I'm setting My computer up to start recording My own stuff soon. It's hard to take it when you work really, really hard on a video and have really high hopes for it, and then it FAILS. Oof. "Why don't people like the thing I spent so much effort on, the new thing I tried as something different?" It's a bit demoralising, then you just do the same old thing as usual and people love it. I became a father nearly 5 years ago and now playing catch up on Davie's videos. The amount of reveal videos is a testament to Davie's success and talent! This one in particular is one of my favorites as it was nice to see Davie more open about his real life and allows us viewers to connect a little deeper in doing so. I really appreciate when UA-camrs show how they are actually feeling, it makes me know that they are not that strange people in the internet making random stuff and uploading, it makes me know they are people, people that fell things, that sometimes dont fell great, that sometimes they hide things to make a good impression, that is wy appreciate these tipe of videos, becuse they show how they are feeling, how they are Edit: dam this gone into a long comment lol

I am a police officer in Croatia and watch your videos mostly at home after night shifts before going to sleep, because they make me laugh and calm me, even with all those slaps.
I just want to say that you are doing good job and you are helping people like me to carry on, so if you don't film any more video, that's fine, you did enough and we have materials to rewatch ror years, don't be hard on yourself. :)

to me, looking at you. a man that obviously works extremely hard to be a better bassist and youtuber with great intentions backing it all. you dont need to do better, i mean improvements are always appreciated but what you bring to the table is enough. you should never forget that, sometimes the wheel doesn't spin your way that doesn't mean everyone that loves your content and music think any less of you.
