I have never used detangling tools. I only detangle my hair once a week with a wide tooth comb and fingers detangle as needed. Recently I have started detangling my hair with a wide tooth comb before I wash my hair and it has been a game changer. 👍🏽🤗

Beautifully done, Mya! I have been waiting for this and appreciate you sharing your technique. Finger detangling is a learning process and takes time and patience. I used to spread my fingers like a comb until I realized that would not get it. Looking at other videos definitely helped in finding a technique that accomplished the goal of detangled hair. ITA...Stretched hair detangles a lot better than hair curling upon itself. Thanks for sharing your technique with the Revair also. That will be very useful. BTW...Your hair is very full, thick and beautiful! Again, TFS!!! ♥

      Hey MJ! Of course!
Finger detangling can take longer than using detangling tools but I feel it is so worth it.
Now I will say this lol about using my fingers like a comb. That only works in the nape area. I tried that in my mid section and my hair said " no ma'am!". My nape area has looser curls and it is thinner.
Stretched hair definitely helps with tangles, the hair doesn't curl upon itself so much.

I need to get back to finger detangling. I just realized the other day that I have breakage throughout my hair. I thought it was frizz but, it's breakage. It appears to be frizz because its shorter than the rest of the sections. Also, I realize my hair isn't really as fine as I thought it's just the breakage throughout. Ugh, hopefully the parts that have breakage will catch up when I do better.

Great video🤎 I know with my coils I will go back and forth with detangling by hand and brush but things went okay my last wash day. My last comment I think I mention getting a brush blow dryer. So I used it before installing my passion twist and I noticed how my hair behaved with it on different settings of heat. Cooler it seems to brush through and keep a lot of my curls. It made me curious what a head full of blow dryed curls would look like. But I put it on high so it would blow dry it straight and it worked well my hair looked really healthy but I doubt I'll want blown straight hair all the time. I want to find a routine that fits me. My passion twist came out pretty though your girl can't part so the back probably looks insane 😂 I've decided not to care it's vacation time 🧳✌🏾💕

For the dryer on the cool setting, I have noticed that even though my hair is stretched there is still a slight wave to it , which I don't mind, I do not like bone straight hair nor is that my goal. I love big hair !

I started finger detangling 4 months ago. I have thin, low density arm pit length hair. I also have a large alopecia spot in my crown. No matter how gentle I am, I lose just as mych hair as I do with a wide tooth comb. I'm not sure what to do and feel like giving up. My patch is improving but my hair is not thick like it used to be. 😢

@@gwyneveresunlightblade5962 there’s a TON of Ayurvedic ingredients out there that may help you. I make my own oil and also use the DHT blocker from Nowimnappy. Also look from within, a lot of our practices and/or our hormonal/blood levels can cause detriment to our strands. Herbal teas can also help. I don’t like the feeling of how teas (green/black) rinses leave my hair. I like to drink it instead. Also Amla and most recently Chebe (thank you May) has helped tremendously with my fine low density strands.
