Just a quick note - In regards to the desktop audio, I forgot to mention to make sure on the ST1 fader, engage the PAFL button and make sure the fader is down. You will be able to monitor your desktop audio and the audio will not feed into the Aux channel in OBS.
How did you manage to get that high amount of signal input from the QU-16? I installed the driver and using USB connecting to it but the signal I get was very low, in OBS I have to gain it to +30 to get it to normal range.
@@joserebollo3257 nope, still the same, my gain for all my mics and instruments have set to around -9 db but within my windows, the signals are just very low. I managed to work around with it in OBS by adjusting an amount approximately +30db of gain for the signal for it to be usable, but in Zoom, no settings like that is available.
@@khadafykhan9936 I have AKGs and Sennheisers, and preamps are set in QU-16 as well, but just couldn't get the output signal into computer to be significant for live streaming.
Mr. Khan, I'm facing a problem on setup the QU-16 with OBS when changing the PC from Win 10 to Win 11. OBS just can't receive any signal from the mixer by USB-B. Not sure what's the problem.. Thanks. (No special setting, just plug in and out)
good video but i feel you have missed somethingh here. how do you monitor the desktop audio ? if yur DT audio is coming up on ST1 and you put that fader up it goes back into the Aux channel in OBS. thats what we dont want.

I’ve done everything you’ve done but even after changing the settings in obs, the audio mixer does not show the qu16. I even tried selecting sources but sound won’t go into obs. Any suggestions ?

Hi, not sure, are you saying "choose your input device my does not say sq-7" are you referring to Windows? If yes, what options do you have? Also, do you have the latest driver for the SQ7? Go to Device Manager, then go to the Allen and Heath website to double-check.
@@khadafykhan9936 yes in windows i have multiple options sq 1&2 sq 3&4 sq 5&6 swq 8&9 those are my options but none of them say output like yours. Thanks for replying!
@@ricardodorado2801 Hmm, ok. That's interesting. So on my QU 16, my Main Left and Right output's are 17&18. I wonder if one of those pair or outputs is what you need so Windows knows where to send the audio. I would try each option and see what happens. Probably the driver for the QU mixers is different than the SQ mixers. I hope this helps.
Hello. I've watched countless videos on UA-cam about getting audio from Qu-32 to computer to then livestream on OBS and using mix 9-10 as the audio for livestream. I've not managed to get any video that worked for me. Could you give us Qu-32 users a step by step on how to get audio from Qu-32 to computer ( via USB-B) and then use OBS? I'd appreciate it immensely if you could.
@@davehenry2673 did you change the source from local to usb-b? With using mix 9-10 you’re still able to control what is being sent to the live stream correct. Like if you had a band you’re able to turn up the kick drum individually if necessary?
@@keimontre yes still able to do so. However having one computer doing livestream separate to the desk then that person barges over the sound desk to go into mix 9-10 change something. Spoke to a sound engineer and he said that mix 9-10 is possibly just the easiest way to get around rather than trying to get the Qu-32 into a daw then onto OBS
@@davehenry2673 yea. The easiest way around that is the qu app on an iPad. When i need to mix for the stream. I take the iPad into a different room n mix it from the iPad. The issue i have is the delay between the obs n Facebook. So it’s a lot of patience.

@@LingFelix It depends on the type of mic you are using. Also, I'm using a preamp for my mics.

This is literally the simplest approach and I knew about it but never implemented it. Switching it this way from mixes & matrixes to straight USB.
