Mate don't do it. The chassis is probably the best preserved thing on that car. Its galvanised and mine shows zero rust in its 32 years. Door hinge pins, headlight lifters and relays are another story. Good luck. Glad to see another on its way back to life.
Interesting car, I have never seen one of those before, looking forward to see and hear more. A Mr. Bean paint job in white would make it a lot brighter.

The Chassis is galvanised from the factory on Excel's. It is unlikely to need major work, unlike series 1 Eclat/Elites.
