Looked like 8ft , but I learned on Maui so ,good point. Unless it was big for real then it was like no biggie , laid back attitude always helps , I was 15 and we had to sponge ride but it was life changing , I love watching these videos from the 801!

Hello. I usually like your videos because they try describe the real side of surfing. keep it up. One thing you may want to consider is to relate how long it takes to get a good wave out at pipeline. From your videos, it looks like magic.... paddle out and score the wave o' life. That illusion is probably contributing to the large crowds out there. From what I hear, there is a huge pecking order out there, and it takes a long time to get an opportunity to take off.... even for the top surfers.

Forget brand names, find a board that fits your style and the waves you surf. Any thruster setup with a squash tail should be good for a beginner surfer riding smaller to medium waves.
