    • @quitea
      @quitea 2 роки тому +1

      look, i didnt buy it but from what i saw it has the possibilty to brick your switch in the future, and the only way to be 100% safe is buying the original one, and if you want a more portable one you can buy a little "shell" and use your pieces from your original switch dock and adapt it into this shell, this "shell" name is called basstop portable dock (remember im not sure about anything i say and read everything about this "shell" before buying because it might not be what you are looking for)

    • @draconic5129
      @draconic5129 Рік тому

      They're not going to stop working after firmware updates. That is a lie spread by people after the Nyko dock incident, the reason that happened after the 5.0 update was due to the increased power draw from background updates and services that were introduced in the 5.0 firmware update.

    Is jumpgate safe to use with the switch original power brick or is it safer to use the jump gate skull and co PD power brick?

    • @HieuuHoang
      @HieuuHoang 2 роки тому

      The jumpgate works fine with original switch charger or any PD power brick, even Samsung charger

    • @draconic5129
      @draconic5129 Рік тому

      Any decent USB PD power supply will work just fine with it so long as it's rated for 45 Watts or more. If it's less than 45 Watts it's likely the switch won't output video over HDMI.
      I use a 65 watt laptop charger from an old Lenovo laptop on mine. Although I don't really use my skull & Co dock that much anymore since I have the Genki covert dock which is its own power brick.

      I can definitely understand the concern, but I've been using my Covert Dock for years with zero issues.
