Nine breaker was how I got introduced into the series. Then I went back to play all the others. I never had so much mecha blasting fun in a loooong time.
I agree, this style of AC was the best. And add some good concepts from For Answer and 5 such as blades on both arms, being able to kick/tackle another AC when you have no weapons left, extreme lightweights(the SOBRERO frame for example, if something like that existed in the PS2 era, it would be a lightweight beyond lightweights, but be easily destroyed from a few mistakes.) In FA and 4, the mistake was to give every AC super speed, it should really be only a super high risk playstyle.
@@JordanHoltHalthiem it is the original, i was playing it earlier today, maybe they mean quality wise? it might be recorded on an emulator like pcxs2 and upscaled so it looks nicer
Nah, you could only have OP-INTENSIFY in AC3 and Silent Line. Nexus did away with the player being able to use it; Nine Breaker, Last Raven, and Formula Front didn't have it after that.
Armored core is probably harder I only played another age and it took me a week to beat nineball seraphs and I wasn’t even touching any other games any time I was playing video games in that week I was just keep fighting nineball sereph the whole time and restarting constantly but it was hard as fuck and I’ve played hard games like god hand and devil may cry 3 but this shit is crazy Armored core is like the grand turismo of mech games and zone of the Enders is like the burnout of mech games 😂 but I haven’t played any souls games so I cant say much but I feel Armored core is harder
Yeah! You really had to work up the ranks, which was also why the original Halo:Reach was so fun as well! Each rank unlocked a small piece of new armour lol
This game introduced me to the concept of 'difficulty'
yeahh totally agree... difficult but realistic
Many people hate on Nine Breaker. I genuinely like the game, it focuses on the best part of the series: THE ARENA!
The story behind the a.c. series is another major draw to the franchise. Last raven didnt quite do it for me
I love how this video shows the designers' intent, not boost-hopping the whole video.
Not familiar with the story, but Ninebreaker was the only game in the series I've played. At least until now.
@@neosavior9305The story has always been dogshit
The AI in the older school AC games would push your shit in.

they should have kept this style on armored core V
Jose Constantin Laruscain Ikr? Though I do like the new ones. Nothing beats the ps2 era armored core games.
Ninebreaker intro is so cheerful :)
Sure gives the vibe of a friendly training camp in the sun for ravens
damn i love this game and the music makes me feel like im n the year 2000
we need the old armored core style back, and i mean the from the first game all the way to last raven. but also add some stuff from 5 and for answer!

It wasn't a mistake. The AC's in 4 and FA aren't the normal garden variety. They are a new powerful form of AC's called NEXT's
Games like this are the reason why I chose PS2 over xbox.
@@Ashevergreen not as good as ac tho
i love how you remade this its actually much better than the original
This isn’t the original?!

So nostalgic! Played this game for hours in my childhood.
Fly, track, lock, dodge, fire, dodge, fire, destroy, acquire new target.
When me and the boys go off to training camp for the summer
I had a lot of fun with this game even though I was never any good at it :).
the introduction is o__o......delicious
I can't say for sure but from what I remember you could get Op-I from transfering it over from Nexus.

Something about this intro make me wish I could be there when AC games were in their early days

You know it was a cash grab when it’s just a lazy gameplay clip instead of the usual big budget cinematic intro.
I always like shops and having a budget in games which is the main reason I don't like this game, it gives you everything at the start!

wait, this is different than the Intro im used to. I guess there are two different versions!

I'm new to the franchise amd this is mu first game, what is Vs ECM?
It's the resistance value against radar and FCS jamming. You can press the Select button for the stats' meaning btw.
