Dear Mary, Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and clarity about this subject! I will most definitely return to your explanation here if I get bewildered in the world of Research Methods.-Julia
Thank you for your work here! In a few hours I have my final exam in Research Methods. I wish more teachers would have your approach to the thematic of this discipline. Just a curiosity, do you have some kind of teaching preparation? You would be a great teacher nevertheless.
For your comments on observation, it depends on whether naturalistic observation is covert or overt. You seem to have assumed naturalistic = covert, which is incorrect. We could do a naturalistic observation by asking if we could observe someone in their own home for example, they know we are there but they are still in their natural environment. Therefore, a positive of using a naturalistic observation is that we get to watch how people and their environment interact, we cannot assume that they are unaware of our presence.
Hello! thank u. I wanted to learn that went to some.teachers but they put on a cold face! I got real gloomy! now after hearing u it's awesome! thank.u mam.for this valuable gift! I want to converse with u more :) have a lot to ask :)

Iwillsucceed4sure That would be your control group, or in other words your comparison group. That group is meant to not have received “medicine” so that you can compare the results between a group who did receive the medicine and a group who didn’t. In an experiment, we always want to have a control group to see what would happen if the variable wasn’t given to them so we have something to compare to. For instance if the group who received the medicine received the same results as the group who didn’t receive the medicine then that leads to the researcher to believe the medicine has no effect. Vice versa. :)
good day im going to ask ,what are requirements of psychological research methods? im struggling, im not sure with my answers hope u can help me, thank u
But marry, I m little confused in the topics of correlation coefficient. Like for instance, are those 2 no 2 variables or what and why n how is the closer the coefficient is to 1 be it a positive or negative , the relationship is stronger or coefficient is to 0 the weaker the relationship, I m really confused. No matter you haven't got many views as you deserve I will be ur good student from Australia at the moment . Thank you.

How can you get results from the group that didn’t get any medicine? That’s confusing
