- You may have seen some tools popping up lately that look like our PQW Sasher Tools. Unfortunately, these are fakes and have been copied from our original, genuine, high quality, trademarked Sasher Tools (bias maker, among other things).
Make sure you watch this video to see us compare our genuine, high quality PQW Sasher Tools against the fake tools.
Guess what?! The fake tools are terrible quality, melt when the iron is placed against them, aren't sized correctly, and don't do the job they say they do.
Don't get caught. The fake tools are cheap for a reason!

Good on you Pauline for exposing these crooked people and protecting your hard earned tools. Shame on them and anyone looking for a cheap alternative. All are not created equal which you have so very well shown. Cheap is as cheap does. I would much rather pay the extra for quality, long lasting products, especially made in Australia, not cheap junk from overseas. I purchased mine from you a few years ago, they are very well used and look just as good now as they did when I purchased them.

Hi Pauline, I have had the honour of being able to watch your demonstrations in person at Australian Craft Shows in Toowoomba a number of times over the years. Oh my goodness! I found a set of these Sasher binding tools in my sewing room and I have no idea where they came from. I always go to UA-cam and watch videos on how to use a tool and, lo and behold, I found this video! I had already seen a difference of the ones I have and those in another of your videos. I kept looking and found this video. I’ve never used these and will be tossing them in a bag going to the thrift store! Nothing would tick me off more if I tried using these and I had to fight with the binding to get it right. So sorry this has happened to you and I will be ordering yours. Bless you Pauline.
I have never seen these before and struggle with getting an accurate fold. I love these, and I will be buying your set. Thank you for designing such a simple to use item and sharing what is out there to be aware of. I have only just found you and will be watching many more videos.

After watching your video, I returned the cheap Bias Tape Make purchased on Amazon and ordered your combo set. Thank you for this tutorial. Karma will come around & kick the impostors in the bum. It is disgraceful companies can do this sort of thing. I am really tired of people saying they buy online from overseas companies because they are cheaper. Well they get what they pay for.
I have just come across your channel recently & I am compiling a list of tools I have fallen in love with. Incidentally, all of them!! Personally I am thrilled you are in Queensland where I live. Hi Pauline, I just became acquainted with your products recently when I received an email promotion from my LQS for your book. I watched the video and got excited because this was just what I was looking for... an easy and beautiful way to quilt-as-you-go. I ordered the book which I received yesterday, and while I was waiting for it to come I searched online for the set of 10 sasher tools. I did find a ton of the copy cat tools that were so inexpensive it was very tempting to try them. However, I'm a tool girl. :) I love quality tools and I learned long ago that if you use crappy tools you will get crappy results. It's a waste of time and money AND it's not enjoyable! The copycat tools looked flimsy compared to yours and I wondered if they would melt and bend. This video confirmed exactly that. My PQW Sasher Tool collection should be here soon!

Just learned about your products and shared that video with my sister. Saw all the fakes on amazon. Now so glad this video popped up. Sharing this with my sister as well before she gets duped. It is horrible how these other countries are ruining our societies with all their deceitful ways. I’ll be watching more of your videos.

Hi Ellalou, I am also glad you found my video and seen that I am the designer of the Sasher tools and own all rights to them. I is very madding knowing that other companies feel they have the rights to copy other designers inventions and sell the.
The saddest thing is that its the customer they are ripping of , especially with the sashers as thy melt on first use.

You can't take any of this personally Pauline. It happens in every line of business and with all types of products. Sad, but true. You can't let it get to you. Trademarks are useless anymore. i learned the hard way too.
So sorry you have to go through this. I bought your product at the Boise Quilt Show way back when. Your product is very good. I also love your videos. I also want to let everyone know that if you can do not buy canning products on line as they are counterfeit also. They have even counterfeited the box.

I just found yours on amazon Mexico, wish you had more products on this site for us to purchase, I loved the purple hoop unfortunately theres no place to buy it here in Mx or USA, goos for you to expose them it’s not fair, totally understandable
We do not put our products on Amazon, we sell to other company's that put them on Amazon. the sad thing is they are very selective on what they put on there.
You can buy from our online store www.pqw.com.au and pit what you think you might like to purchase and see what the shipping cost would be. you can cancel the order if the shipping is way to expensive for you.

hello Pauline.. funny thing just happened. I just placed a order for a set of these fake sasher tools and after watching your video raced and cancelled the order.!!! now I have a question. I want to make bag handles with the sashers. I use duck cloth also called cotton canvas for my bags and handles and am currently using a binding tool. but I end up with only a half inch strap. id like a large strap. 3/4 inch or 1 inch. will your set of 10 work for this? what would you recommend? I do not currently use any interfacing in my handles.

Straper set the sizes are 1" 11/2" and 2" finished sizes they have a wider opening for thicker fabric , they work superbly. you will find them on our website www.pqw.com.au

Try Googling Pauline Rogers Sasher tools Canada and see what pops up.
Please be careful to not purchase the ones from the company who have copied my design, They are horrible as they melt as soon as you put an iron near them.

I was looking into getting some of these and had no idea the ones I saw were "knockoffs". Chiese manuacturers are notorious or doing this. Not sure why except that they don't seem to respect or enforce non infringement of intellectual property. Glad I found out and will by your product.

Hi Susan, yes our Sasher Tools are trademarked. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to stop overseas companies/people producing fake copies that are far insuperior.

Well, I’m sorry this has happened to you. It happened to me too, on a smaller scale, some years ago. I handcrafted a unique product made with high quality materials, offered at a local craft fair. Everyone loved my stuff. But because it was high end, they didn’t have the money on them to purchase. At least, by the time they got to my booth! Needed to save up for the next year. The next year, bunches of other vendors had stolen my idea, made cheap hacks, and sold for less than half the price! And people were buying them up like hot cakes! It was something designed mostly for children, but also for collectors; and not something I could patent. It wasn’t a unique idea, but my expression of it was. And no one had offered anything, anywhere near like it for decades. Got my idea from an antique that had belonged to my grandmother. I think people figured that if it was for a kid, the cheap counterfeit was good enough. Yet, they’d spend well over a hundred dollars for plastic doll house! You get the idea.
Well, there doesn’t seem to be much integrity in the market place anymore, sadly. 😕

I truly agree that people need and should be coming up with their own products to sell. Unfortunately I don't think this video is going to be of much help to you. Honestly i think this will just give these copyright infringing sellers the information they need to improve theirs. I have only just begun in this hobby and when i need something like this i will definitely support your business.

I'm curious if they are using your stamping and trademark on these knockoffs. This is so sad that people have the need to do this.
They aren;t using our trademark to our knowledge as this would guide people to our website, not their own.
