In the Netherlands they practice a more relaxed natural manner of birthing in general, big brother house or not she would have probably done same thing except at home if she wasn't in the house. They have a higher home birth rate than many countries, though I doubt very much that they (big brother) didn't have people on standby just incase after all they wouldn't want a baby dying on the show and get sued to hell, as well as the fact I don't know if everyone in this video is a contestant (women telling her how to breath etc may have been a midwife casually dressed who knows) nor if any of them have some form of medical training at all, a nurse or midwife can be a big bro housemate lol
I don't know it is common in UK to have a natural as possible birth as long as there no complications/high risk same with these people though way more on the no drugs/pain relief. The Netherlands take it to another level some think but infant mortality rates are same if not better than other countries and I say as long as no prior risks then go for it, places that automatically offer a C-section/intervention when not needed just preferred is ridiculous our bodies are made for this so unless the life of mother or baby is at risk leave them be, to do what nature intended.
Why would she need to go to a hospital? There was obviously a qualified midwife assisting.
They probably planned a "home" birth in the big brother house just as a precaution, so either way she wouldn't have needed to stress, and the other housemates probably knew this which is why they were so calm I guess

@@mariageraldes4945 According to Wikipedia, she was 7 months pregnant at the beginning of the season. She gave birth in October 2005 but the network couldn't show her baby too much since labour laws in the Netherlands don't allow new-borns to work many hours a day. She ended up leaving because of how she was treated by the other cast mates

@@mykynzy2790 in the Netherlants you get help from a nurse at home. We call it 'kraamzorg'. The will come for 7 days. You can choice if the only help you with the baby of also with you household.

Just for your information: giving birth and human body is a natural thing. If you are unlucky you also don"t push things out of your vagina only as well but fart and shit also😃
How did she make that look so easy omg!! I was in labour for 24 hours in so much pain couldn't put down the gas and air we almost died, I needed to be knocked out rushed into an emergency C section. She handled that like a boss hope I can have that kind of experience next time. She had a great birth.

@@ameliarose47 it is standard practice for people to give birth at home with a midwife in the Netherlands - hospitals are optional and of course for emergencies. If there is a reason to suspect complications then the midwife would get an ambulance.

I would imagine for the ratings and to make videos like this that we get to see for many years to come. As far as safety, I don't see it being unsafe at all. Home births are done all of the time and from this video (which is all I know of the situation) it appears their is some sort of midwife and the mom's Mom with her helping her along. I also imagine had their been any sign of danger they would have taken the new mom and baby to the hospital asap, just as with any other home birth.

I just want to say that its called humanity to help someone ease their pain so talking about the girls who are helping to deliever the baby is pointless. Birth is a beauty of nature it totally should depend on the woman if she would like privacy while her delivery And talking about religion from just a video we are making big talks about different culture. Holy shit these comments! I know it’s hard to believe and all but they probably did have a fully equipped, entire obstetric team on hand plus a paediatrician. Thousands of women are having babies every day across the world. A few encounter serious problems, but most don’t. And Netherlands 🇳🇱 is hardly 3rd world! She did bloody marvellous. I screamed the entire hospital down when I had my kids. My husband told me he really wanted me to accept some pain relief. I told him I didn’t want any and that I was ok. He said he’d meant that he and the rest of the hospital would benefit from my taking pain relief lol This girl made it look so easy though and the baby is utterly gorgeous 😍😍😍 I hope the little family are doing well. Does anybody know??

Why are people so negative? She clearly planned to give birth in the BB house and BB obviously made sure she was healthy and safe and had medics on standby should she have needed to be taken to hospital. The lady delivering the baby is a qualified midwife. Many women around the world don't want a hospital birth anyway. So long as a doctor has cleared them for a non-hospital birth then it's fine. It's fascinating and educational for people to see a birth happen live on TV. It's not gross, it's natural.
