- In this video I show you the step by step process of painting watercolor eggs for Easter! I used a simple color palette and used simple spring designs to paint these plastic textured eggs with watercolor. Painted eggs are so fun for easter and spring. I found these eggs at Walmart for less than $2 and can keep them and their designs forever. If you use real eggs, you can look up videos on youtube to blow them out and then you can also save those forever. My kids love using watercolor to paint eggs and we always have the best time doing it! I hope you try this one out

These are gorgeous! Thank you Kristin!
Tulips also look fabulous on eggs 🌷
I bought solid wooden eggs, sprayed them with matte primer and watercolor adhered beautifully.
Super cute and creative. All our chickens make brown eggs so not sure how well the watercolor would show up. But the colors show up great on the white eggs.
They'd be a lovely Easter gift. Happy Easter 🐣
(Where you saw Hydrangea,...) I was seeing Geraniums! ☺ I LOVE your eggs! Thanks for the INSPIRATION!!!!! 💓 Those eggs that Walmart has every year *caught my eye this year! I wanted to do blown-out decorated eggs for "keepers", but was having diff. blowing enough (that didn't break!), right b4 Easter last year, SOooo!...I managed to get 6 throughout the past several months![
I love this idea. I'll pop that in my 'mixed media' list to try some time. 😊
your video really inspired me. I love your classic style. Great job!!!
Such a neat idea! 🌸🥚🌷
Amazing!!
I am going to get some watercolours and try some of your tips and tricks.
So, . . . . . you didn't coat them with any type of sealant or whatever?? (or was it an afterthought, after your taping?) Of course I could just spray them (I see that I've got some [Dutch Boy] Fresh Look, acrylic), I'm just wondering what worked -- or failed? -- for you! I have used a spray acrylic on eggs, only over (gingham) FABRIC. Thanks!
Bellisimo
Thank you!
Can you dye the egg then use watercolor over to add a pattern?
Yes I believe so! I haven't tried it but I bet it would look amazing
Boskie❤
Can you give me a link to the Walmart fake egg product; I can not seem to find them - thanks
[ 'An aside😊: Are (you) Dutch, by any chance? It's not "just the same", but I know that 'VanLeuken' is a very Dutch name! 'Just curious about the name difference/closeness!🤗]

Those are not safe to eat. So not sutable for the european tradition as we are supposed to use them in an egg cracking game and eat them. We use specific egg paints which you can buy in most countries here.
Hi I was wondering what paint kit do you use ? Do you buy your brushes separately? You’re very talented!
