No. 1 hit Hal, Rylan won't really realize for about forty yrs from now jus how special this hunt Is...........! Both of you had a top notch day to say the least..........!
This really brings back memories of bringing my nephew hunting although he only got a spike horn it was priceless and will always be a great memory to me
Way to go Rylan and Grandpa! You can tell that young man is mature way beyond his years. He handles himself really well. I'd be proud as heck if he was my grandson. Great day that will leave a lasting memory.
What's precious about this is that it's actually filmed and documented. And it is forever documented.I actually got a tear to my eye.I love this.I just love it
Fantastic! Congratulations, young man. Hal, the impact you’re having in those moments with that young fella simply cannot be overstated. I wouldn’t trade anything in the world for the time hunting and learning with Pap growing up. When we’re a kid, a person thinks it can last forever and man I wish it could. But, roles change and hopefully we get a chance to do that for someone else. Well done, brother. Enjoy every second.
I really like this. I started my son hunting when he was 9. He's forty now and the times in the woods with him (and hopefully soon with my grandson) will live with me forever. Gre at job young man!
Congratulations on your first tracking buck, I love the part when Rylan says anyways lol sounds just like his grandpa always said that in his videos just before the sandwich break lol.
Congratulations You have One Heck of A Teacher Love all Your Content. Thanks For Sharing Oh I had the pleasure of meeting Bad Lee Once You Guys are right about Him LOL
He had a damaged front foot that was healed that way. Kind of walked on the side of it. We should have talked about it in the interview but we were caught up in the moment! - Hal
If you can drag a buck like a few miles before dark your not a great big woods hunter your an athlete bud, congrats on the big buck. I shot my first 200lb 9 point after 8 years of hunting in the big woods of Ontario.

The smile never left my face for this one! Congrats, Rylan! Cherish those moments with your grandfather while you have them. Thanks for sharing, Hal!

Hal I'm betting that's one of your best hunts ever. You put a lot of time into molding that young man. You should both be proud!

Great video. What did it weigh??? I assume 30-06? Was that his rifle or Hal's? How long was the drag?
Nice video. Curious how the buck came by the name “Gimpie” or “Gimpy” (you have it both ways). Was he gimped up ?
