The lasagna looks really good. The only thing i do different is add a pack of dry ranch seasoning to my ricotta/cottage cheese for extra flavoring and sautee mushrooms and onion and add it to the sauce. And also pepperoni for an extra kick if I have it.
Thank you for sharing your recipes :) You brought back a lot of fond memories of my grandma who was born in the south (Alabama) and her corn bread:) recipe. She made it the same way in the same black iron pan :) Have a great day!
Krissy - Sol Lucet Omnibus I grew up in Alabama and this is how we made cornbread too. It’s nice and crunchy on the outside and soft inside. So good. I love it with a little butter and maple syrup.
My dad always used cottage cheese for his lasagna. My husband prefers it with ricotta so that’s what I use now. I also like to mix basil into my cheese mixture, fresh if I have but dried is fine too. Thanks for all the yummy inspiration.
A "secret ingredient" I have used for years in my lasagna sauce is......GRAPE JELLY!!!!! Add about 2 tablespoons to your sauce and it will make it even more amazing!
Generously use Cavender’s Greek seasoning ( it’s in a yellow container) on the asparagus along with the olive oil and grill it until it is starting to blacken a little. You will LOVE it!!!!! Your crab cakes look delicious!!!! 😋
Yay! I’ve been dying to know your mama’s lasagna recipe since you mentioned it a while ago! Can’t wait to try it!! Everything you make always looks amazing! ❤️
First time to visit your channel. It was funny that I had just finished putting away a crockpot of pintos that had cooked all day. Will have tomorrow with some jalapeño cornbread. Fran from TN
Thank you for that butter milk hack! I did not know that! Also thanks for telling me how to make these things (especially the beans). I’ve been living in Colorado and forgetting my southern roots! You rock
Hey Jennifer! I always look forward to your posts - especially the dinner ones! The pork chops look really good - I am always trying to find new recipes to cook in my air fryer. Just curious were the pork chops tender? You never know what you will get when you grill or fry them.
Hi Jen! We have the same lasagna recipe of but we use ground beef (don’t like Italian sausage) I put my cottage cheese in my sauce and it melts as it cooks. I only use 1 jar of sauce because we like ours thick. It’s one of our favorites. I have been wanting a good crab cake recipe so thank you so much! Everything looked delicious!
Jan could you please share the yummy cheddar biscuit recipe? I didn’t see a link for it😉 Love watching you cook and share your meal ideas!! Thanks so much!!
we do a mix of beef and sausage with one jar prego meatsauce and the other jar prego sausage and roasted garlic for our sauce. super good! happy to find someone else that uses prego lol
Yum.. I make homemade tartar sauce too.. Try this one time.. use sweet pickle,a little white vinegar, celery salt and white pepper to the mayo and some green onion bottoms...Tip for the pork chops too. I put onion soup mix on mine and put each pork chop in foil and wrap them Bake them at 350 for about 45 min to an hr. and you can cut them with a spoon they are do tender. Because the pork chops steam in the foil.. I love your channel.
@@CookCleanAndRepeat They are delicious. I take the pork chop and just put it in a skillet just to get the red color off it and then in the foil individually. Top it with the Liptons onion soup mix and close it up. I check them after 45 min. But you do not need a knife to cut them they r so tender. I've been making these for about 40 yes now. ( It's the dry mix)Lol . Let me know how they turn out Jennifer... Love your channel ❤️ And I am going to make those crab cakes!!!
My lasanga recipe is very similar but I don't use Italian sausage, beef is better. I use the exact sauce and noodles and we love it with cottage cheese too. I add onions and green peppers to my meat it's simple but delicious! Love your channel girl 😊
You have some wonderful meals here! Everything looks so good! I love Cheddar Bay Biscuits! I think I will like your recipe better. My recipe calls for Bisquick and I don't use Bisquick for anything else so I end up wasting plus it takes up room in my cabinets. Thank you for sharing your meals! Have a blessed evening!

Well I’m hungry!! LOL I do my lasagna the same (usually half hamburger, half Italian sausage and ricotta - have used cottage and it’s good too) I do add a sprinkle of garlic powder, parsley and black pepper to my cheese mixture. I may do crab cakes this weekend since it’s just hubby and I. I haven’t attempted making rolls. I have tried making my moms homemade donuts and I flopped and she laughed lol .. this was years ago. She’s since passed but I think I may have had the wrong recipe because I found another version when going through her things. I think she may have held out on me lol love her!!

I always add a little bit of water to the glass jars and shake it to get all the sauce out of the jar.
My dad always used cottage cheese for his lasagna. My husband prefers it with ricotta so that’s what I use now. I also like to mix basil into my cheese mixture, fresh if I have but dried is fine too. Thanks for all the yummy inspiration.

What oil do you use to season your cast iron skillet? I heard flax seed was best but it is expensive.
You can use any high temp oil. I just canola.
