I want to ask a question .. if someone already is diagnosed with ocd but is getting better for a while .. how can someone know if their ocd has gone away or still there cause it makes them uncertain and scared about the fact they dk if they still have it or not ? Though they have plenty of intrusive thoughts and so on
I’m not an expert but I’d imagine that would actually be “fear of fear”. Which, in and of itself is an OCD symptom. It’s about accepting the uncertainty. Over time doing so will bring down the anxiety and will raise your confidence in knowing you’re recovered/ing
Yes it’s just ocd , themes can morph anytime, under the hood it’s all about fear
You explained this so well. Thank you!
Another fantastic video Rob. Need to teach this stuff in school haha

SolarContagion is right. 1. You have to ride the wave of uncertainty. 2. Stop internally checking for signs all the time.
