Man, I am jealous at first but then I am brutally humbled. Not only do you lay everything down in such a mindblowingly-simple(?) way- any player who's worth their chops will quickly recognize that this man is an exceptional player. Not to mention explaining everything as if his hands just literally have a mind of their own and he's just narrating what he's seeing them do.... wow

I’m supposed to sleep but watching this makes me emotional, I think I can break this down on my jazz guitar but I know I have a lot of work to do to play it beautifully. I have my guitar since years, I consider myself more like a beat maker, but this last weeks I had spent most of my free time just playing around the guitar more than ever and I see a lot of doors opening and just waiting to be explored. For sure I going to play around this tomorrow, but I think I might need to schedule things and be consistent. Thanks for the supply of highly motivating content

This underlines the fact that Paul is one of the most relatable guitar tutors out there. In a mere 5 minutes he shows how a simple progression can be turned into an extremely tasteful, interesting and fulfilling structure. Thanks again Paul 🙏.
I feel like this is an exception to his usual videos. More often then not, he only starts answering the question ~40% of the way through the video, the beginning is mostly padding. I really like what he teaches though, which is why I keep coming back, but the pacing always bothers me.
The key trick is to know and figure which parts of what chords would lead to the next one. Other than that just spice it up to our taste and you'll end up with something tasteful enough. I think what Paul actually adds to all these is his great presentation that's easy to wrap your head around.
Yep, practice is key. That’s sort of a given. I just re-read my observation, just to make sure I hadn’t written- “Watch this video. In five minutes you’ll learn how to play the guitar”. And I didn’t. Phew! Oh well, I’m off to have a little nap. Maybe I’ll have a science based dream, and wake up and immediately know how to split the atom….

Very nice demonstration, David, and such a great example of how much skill it takes to play the way you do.
