He actually said "I'd rather have Debo"? Williams was the best WR in the draft hands down and Detroit has him on a rookie deal! We got 1 of the best Edge guys and WR in the draft and people are still complaining, blows my mind.
Hutch is the best Edge guy, to start. The others have better upsides if they mature in their attitudes, especially Theebold (or however he's spelled, lol).

Even if you aren’t a Goff fan this move isn’t just for now it’s for the next 5-10 years. Jamo makes whoever comes in after Goffs life much much easier, and gives Goff the best possible chance to succeed AND we fleeced the Vikings AND we kept him from the Packers AND the Bears suck. It’s poetry.

Compared to 15 years ago, ACLs heal much faster now. In fact, apparently Jameson's is 5 weeks early.
At the progression of his healing he'll be ready as soon as the middle as next month or as late as the beginning of September, but his most likely new timetable is middle of July, right before training camp.
As a Vikings fan you guys bent us over in that trade.

@@LetsTalkLions It wasn't THAT lopsided, IMO, but it was definitely lopsided. The Vikings have had a lot of situations in the last few years where the guy they want slides _way_ down the board, and they trade back and still get him, so this was probably another one of those, just less profitable. There was a much better trade with the Packers of all people later on that makes me have to think this one was just a fluke, not getting enough in the moment.
But if you want the crazy talk take? The Vikings couldn't possibly justify taking WRs themselves, and the Green Bay Packers had all their star WRs vanish into smoke. So the trade gave the Vikings the chance to watch the Packers' misery as the Detroit Lions take a top-flight WR ahead of them. Would someone else have taken Williams anyway? Almost certainly. But it being the Lions made it that much more of a knife twist.

Never thought I would hear someone say “you’re wide receiver room is gross”, but I loved it. Would have never guessed in one off-season our WR group would go from bottom of the league to potential top 10 in the league

I first questioned the trade, I slept on it and I love it now. He’s the best WR in the draft and could be a real stud. Love what brad is doing and happy that we actually have a real GM now. Go lions!

I love this trade. Jameson is amazing. And if Goff sucks we can release him with no cap penalties next year in a draft class with much better QBs and us having 2 first rounders to get who we want. This was an amazing deal and Brad holmes deserves a raise and praise cause he’s getting it done

Our offense is a piece or 2 away from being world class! Next year we go get Bryce Young and we go win the division. Still need to fill out the defense but we can get a huge impact starter or two tonight at linebacker and safety.

I love my Lions and love that pick as it was risky and they went for it.
But Goff isn't the answer and he's a huge problem as in case you forgot he cost us some wins last year. But this years QB class sucked some I'm glad they didn't draft a QB. Much rather role with a veteran QB.
bruh if i hear another person bring up our QB situation. Use this draft to continue to fill the holes on your roster, if Goff goes out and overachieves and you make a run it’s a win. If he doesn’t produce you have a chance to draft your guy in a much better QB class and that QB would be inheriting a much better team.

It's a great trade because we didn't give up much, but the fact they believe in Goff this much is worrisome. The fans know he ain't it. Also, trading up to draft an injured WR? Bruh
Goff is better than any QB we could get in the draft. Might as well give him a fair shot and actually wait for a good QB to draft.
It's risky for sure. If he bounces back though, you're talking about arguably the best WR in the draft for not much at all. This is huge. Give Goff the opportunity to succeed.

Goff is very underrated, can’t wait till he proves everyone wrong again, we’ve seen what he can do when he has weapons. And nah most lions fans actually love Goff
@@Elusivve Goff is Luka a Mitch Trubisky. Trubisky was overrated out of the draft, did pretty well, except he played in a worse position than Goff and never reached Goff’s peak years, but they both have potential and are solid QBs that could be developed if in the right system.

We moved up 20 spots in the 1st round, moved down 12 picks in the second and gave up a 3rd. To a division rival. The packers moved up 19 spots to 34 and gave up to seconds (53 and 59 I believe). They gave up way more to move up to a less prestigious draft position. Which was even one less spot than we did in the first. I don’t think people realize how much of a fleece this is.
