He was abused then abandoned by his mother as a child and then the first male role model in his life literally tricked him in to smoking crack when he was only 14 years old! He was dealt a bad hand from being a child so don't try do him dirty by saying he didn't respect his life when it was the adult role models who was around him that didn't respect his life! X was living in hell with his demons from a young age and he still managed to make it out of the dark and do something with his life that we could only dream of! That's what you call a real underdog story. He will always be a legend.

@@AO-qg4dk Naw i agree he just seems like a genuine person to me and somebody that cared about those around him, made a lot of friends but struggled with something awful. my aunt recently died alcohol related and an uncle died of a fentanyl overdose so i feel that pain dmx conveys thru his music. expecially songs like slipping. i havent seen any evidence of dmx not being a Christian.
