- In this video I hike to lower and upper Lena Lakes in the Olympics of Washington. The first 3 miles to get to lower lena lake is very family friendly and is a beautiful and simple hike to do. The next 4 miles up to Upper lena lake is alot more rigid and steep, but the view are worth it once you are up there.

Always like your videos my friend, thank you. When I can’t get out and back pack your videos can get me there. Makes appreciate outside that much more.
Thank you! Glad you like them, and happy they can have that impact on you. It’s people like you that keeps me inspired to to continue, and keep getting out there, knowing others are watching and it is helping. Thank you for watching and your kind words!
Ive been really wanting to do some hiking to fish spots. I will be shortly.
one of my favorite things to do.
One of my all time favorite alpine lakes! Nearby Lake of The Angels is another gem.
yes thats on my to do list for 2024
I camped several night at Upper Lena Lake in 2009 with family, such an incredible place. So cool to see you experience it!
awesome! yes it is a beautiful spot. just wish there were less mosquitoes
Best magic trick I’ve ever seen - making hundreds of people disappear. That or mid-week still allows for some solitude up there. At any rate, made me nostalgic for the area. Beautiful footage!
Haha yeah take the road out makes it a whole lot harder for the crowds to get there. Thank you!
@@BackcountryRenegade Is the road closed somewhere? All I could see was the Mt. Jupiter area being closed due to logging.
@@Olympic_TryAthlete the road is closed about 1.5 miles from the Madison falls trail head because it has been washed out by the elwha river and has not been repaired yet.
I see what happened. You are under the belief that I had commented on your Happy Lake trip, not the Upper Lena one. I can imagine solitude at Happy Lake, but Lena would require some serious miracle power.
@@Olympic_TryAthlete ahhh sorry about that. Yes I had upper to my self. Surprisingly
Bretherton was gawwjis!
Have You hiked this hike before>? If so what do you prefer, Upper or Lower Lena Lake?
Upper Lena is way better in my opinion.
