Thanks mate! I run a Euro spec '08 FZ1 and I just started getting a very strange intermittent starting issue that the so called forums give no definitive suggestions for. No offense to the forums but it IS a lot of yapping and speculation. I will run home today to pull out my owner manual to run through all the DI codes to see what I can find. Thanks.
Bike loses power when riding sometimes, it doesn’t shut off though, jus can’t gas it, need some help diagnosing the problem, couple people says it’s my filter and gas line is clogged up. Gas tank has a little rust in it, anyone, need your response, driving me crazy

Honestly your bike seemed to have the exact same problem mine did I'm attempting to go through diag mode and on both 20 and 21 in diag mode no matter kickstand being up or down does not change either one so I'm assuming that's the problem I'm having on the issue is my bike does start even though the kickstand does not make the diag mode number 20 or 21 change to off bike still starts and runs but that's the issue that I had had on my current '09 FZ6R the cadmium yellow model in case that makes any kind of difference but mine is more towards a full fairing bike than yours didn't take any close looks at it to see if he just had your panels off but I am positive mine is full fairing any tips
Hey man I really hope you check your comments on these videos I'm in diagon mode do one My throttle position sensor is reading at 16 of course like you said it should be at 16 or 17 completely normal mine is only going up to 87 I can't reach anything 88 or higher on my throttle
@@TheInja any idea on how to attempt to see if it's something within the bars or am I having to disassemble it because I mean it is obviously stopping it's rotation when it hits that 87 mark I mean the bikes top speed currently I don't believe there is any kind of sprocket changing or anything else is just got a full system two brothers exhaust and the little power Commander they send with it not sure if it's tuned out or if it is out of tune but I'm still reaching 135 which is within 3 miles an hour of the reported top speed of this model from the factory does that sound about right
@@TheInja hey man honestly if you wouldn't mind me finding you on Facebook or you finding me please let me know because I'm sure there's a lot of questions that you could probably help me out with but I really appreciate that so basically I really need to just get access to a laptop with Windows 11 to run the correct programming to check the tune because I mean I did speak to the factory in which makes the Dyno jet power commander it's just a rebranded one for this company but it is a dyno jet product they specifically told me the computer needs to be up to Windows 11 compatible and then actually updated to Windows 11 or higher but I really have absolutely no idea after that
@@TheInja but I can see how that does make sense I just don't have the money to go to a tuner I mean I'm literally barely getting maybe $200 a week because of lack of tree jobs my boss has been able to secure so I'm still looking for other work so I can actually make some money need to put new fairings new mirrors new front left caliper all new pads etc etcetera than normal stuff it's just I don't have the money to go to a tuner and I'm not trying to mess my vehicle up it's the first one that's ever been in my name but it's the third motorcycle that I currently own if I could sell my other two which nobody's trying to buy I would easily be able to just take it and drop it off at a shop get it tuned up or for them to just flash in the proper tune you know what I mean it's just hell on me right now

Super useful, thanks! Diagnostic mode works the same on the FZ6R though it says to disconnect wire harness for fuel pump before you go into it.
Yeah, if you click through all of the different diagnostic modes, like 6 of them are the fuel pump and it'll just keep running.

On my 2012 when I do this the di for the throttle is at 15 how do I bump it up

i even bought a new battery and wired the kickstand sensor wires together still wont start mine still says the kickstand is down no fault codes though

Oh huh. Don't know man, maybe there's an obstruction not letting it turn all the way....or maybe the electrical contact is out of position slightly.

@@mikewazowski7830 aaaah. I see. The power commander does regulate the throttle input, so I bet it's a tune issue.
