Mad to think of the progress Nico has made since this video. He’s doing pads with Haggertys coach to now potentially fighting him, this sport is growing so much
When I was a kid in the 80’s in the US there were no Thaiboxing gyms and only a rare VHS tape or 2 to learn from. So jealous of these young guys and the access to information they have now. Respect to them that they chose martial discipline above computer games and chasing girls, they will NEVER regret this choice.
it is a wise choice. today's generation are super talented and like you say have great access to so much knowledge now you can see how good the next gen are.
I normally don’t like a video but I did for this one. this guys power and speed is something else. I thought Sam tahiru hit hard but this guy also has cardio on his side.

Sorta mad watching this 2 yrs later. No doubt Nico is going to make serious waves on ONE. Mad work ethic and determination. Really awesome seeing him do padwork with Christian Knowles. Watching him execute signature moves I associate with Jonathan Haggerty. (ex: the triple elbow, or the step into elbow). Cannot wait to see what’s in store for the guy!
Absolutely fantastic content you share with us here, always a great watch, thank you and please do keep them coming! As for Nico, he's obviously exceptional at what he does, pleasure to watch him. I hope the channel will get the attention it deserves.
Nico is pretty awesome a very talented you fighter, hes got a big future ahead of him, Thank you for the kind compliment to the channel i do hope it gets more attention i am very happy with the progress so far. thanks again
Dude no way I'm the complete opposite! in my dreams my arms are so floppy if I'm fighting and it scares me... But when I fight/hit pads in real life I'm neutarly good😭😅 I just can't fight in my dreams😂
Before reading please know that I'm honestly asking this question because I want to know how effective certain combination can be. I'm a huge fan of Haggerty and his coach is something else for sure, that's why I want to ask. How effective do you think that 3 elbow combination can be, I see that the tak mala after the spear elbow does not carry much power and eventhough that elbow is more of a cutting elbow than a KO elbow it's still the elbow and it can certainly be a blaster, but don't you think it would be best that instead of throwing the tak mala after the spear he could throw a spinning elbow with his left following the tak mala? just an honest question again.. you guys are absolute beasts and I love the channel!! Much love from Costa Rica BTW love that roundhouse+cross.. it's one of my favs when I spar
its one of them what may work for one may not work for another, and you would probably have to be at a certain level to pull it off. i say do whatever is most comfortable for your body mechanics if it lands it would cause effect but also look pretty amazing too. you will see haggerty pull these off no problem
Got a question about throwing knees. I was always taught that knees to the body are more of a bring your knee up and push and lean back. Like a twin part movement if u do it slow. Instead in the video this guy is just bringing his knee straight up into the body like an uppercut. Does how you throw your knee just differ from person to person? Is it all personal preference?
You mean like at 2:43 to 2:48? Think this kind of knees are more used to push away like a teep or in certain clinch situations. Normal knees are coming from the same angle as a body kick.
@@VvarezZ Exactly what I meant. I figured at that part he was just experimenting. And that made sense. I would always ask the instructor what if u dont have enough room for push knees and he would just say make room. Different knees for different angles and situations?
it can be down to the individual some use a pushing or stab kind of motion quite effectively but this can also drop into a good defensive move. look up supergirl jaroonsak she does the pushing style knee and she is so good at it.
I lost 70 pounds. I finally quit drinking. I got a physique that I thought had long since passed me by. I found out I don't actually suck at sports as much as I thought. More drive to get shit done, a new confidence that I can put in the hard work and achieve big goals... too much to list heh@@hassanchaudhary9300
How do you get good at holding pads randomly? Like catching the combos. Here we tell them what to do, seems like you guys do it randomly at whatever the guy hitting pads throws
hes got great cardio, this particular day was 34 degrees in London which is super hot for us and i think maybe 15 rounds or so of sparring then pads after. crazy

Front push kicks are hard to do. I find myself going bbackwards when I do a front push kick on an opponent :-(
practice makes perfect, work on good balance and stance, running also helps strengthen the legs to give you a good solid base
Target the lower abdomen of your push kick. They have no choice but to go backwards
