I'm gonna be honest...I got into this game for this soundtrack. Somehow this band captures everything great about 80s metal bands. I love that the devs took the extra time to not only create the fictional band, but a whole damn album with lyrics, art, and even their own backstory. It's little details like this that sold me the game, man. Don't regret it one bit either.
Yeah I actually listened to the album for a good 15 minutes and read the magazine article in the beginning, just taking it in :D I hope many didn't skip this game because of the skepticism resulted from Avengers, as it's clear this game has been put a whole lot more passion and thought into. My only complaints would be the quite-a-few bugs that happened during my playthrough and that sometimes there's almost too much dialogue, with some of it being interrupted to make room for other dialogue etc. Still, I do love the dialogue.
@@sarcasm-83 Lipsync was also quite off, and on ps5 there were massive framedips every now and then, even in performance mode. Still,probably the best game i played this year, and it sets a good stage for the next game

The Instrumental of Ghost plays on PS5 when I’m just hovering over the game icon and I instantly fell in love with the Riff. The lyrics just add to it and make it maybe my favorite track on the album. I’m a sucker for Metal Ballads.

Fell in love with the game IMMEDIATELY at the very intro, with young Peter just enjoying the music. I never saw the GotG movies or read the comics, now I’m a fan of GotG because of the game
That's a very cool way to be introduced to the GOTG. Very rare too I feel. Definitely check out the first movie. Second one you can pass on. It's not bad but I wouldn't call it a great film by any means.

So I booted the game and instantly this band started playing. I was like "wtf who this?!!" I love 80s metal so I know most of not all bands. Then this plays and I'm left with a bunch of questions. I did my research and turns out it's not even a real band!! The amount of love, detail, and heart they poured into this project is amazing. I enjoyed the hell out of this game. Finished the game, but These songs live on in my Spotify playlist 🔥🔥🔥
While the game was great, won a few awards and recieved postive word of mouth, it actually under sold so Idk if Square Enix will make a sequel. I blame the poor marketing, gamers are under the general notion that superhero games and movie licence games suck, more reason to get good marketing behind it.. This game is up there with Marvel Spiderman and the Batman Arkham games.

They should really put together some kind of live performance for an E3 kind of event. Not only would that be a fun concert to experience, but the devs could also make another album out of that performance and call it "Star-Lord: the Live Experience. It'd be fantastic marketing and a win-win situation for everyone involved.

I fired up the game for the first time today and I don’t want the put down the lyrics haha! The licensed music is great and this Star Lord band album kicks ass! And Peter has a fucking Mesa Boogie Mark IV and a Gibson Flying V in his room! Probably the first time I’ve seen a Boogie modeled in a game. Whoever the artist is definitely knows his gear.

With the release of Marvel Rivals, I had an itch to play this game again since it's one of Marvel's best games imo. Less than an hour in, I was reminded that the best thing was BY FAR the music by this group in-game. I flarkin' wish they could do more. It's all amazing.

Man this game was so good I still enjoy playing Marvel's Avengers for what it is but Guardians surprised me the story is epic the soundtrack is outstanding the gameplay is fast paced and addicting oh and the characters are hilarious as heck Marvel's Guardians of The Galaxy deserved the award for best narrative the first Marvel game to do so and still remains a fun game and one of the best Marvel and superhero video games to ever release with Marvel's Spider-Man Batman Arkham City Marvel vs Capcom 2 Injustice 2 and more.

Yeah I felt immediately from the trailers of Avengers that things were off and avoided that game, luckily, but never had the same vibe from this game's trailer, had no skepticism and grabbed it from a black friday sale and it has only surprised me positively in every turn. Only complaint being some bugs that have occured, but nothing too serious a quick "load from checkpoint" didn't fix. (Some animation errors, where characters get stuck with their weapons in hand when they shouldn't, a hidden room not opening despite doing the prompt that should open it etc.)

Definitely one of the best metal/Hard Rock albums I've heard, kinda reminds me of queensryche. I listen to at least one or 2 songs from this album daily. The guy who created it has a mini-documentary about the album on facebook. He's way cool and a fucking genius.

I dont much care for the gameplay but this album is incredible.
It's so cool that the lyrics not only apply to certain chapters of the game (mainly star lord speeches during cutscenes and huddles)
