this video is on tig welding 4130 chromoly tubing .120" wall thickness.
This is a practice for those that need practice on .120" wall thickness 2 inch 4130 chromoly cluster joints like you might see on a monster truck.

I would love to see some tig welding tips for people who don't have foot pedal, because you have only the one amperage setting in use that you have set in the machine so how to figure out what is best for which thickness and so on?
Beautiful
Your a grate welder any schools you would recommend for a older guy I used to repair heavy equipment for 10 years and now want to weld all types of equipment I live in florida.
The pedal cable would seem to be a hassle in several ways.
I see several manufacturers are now offering a BLUETOOTH option for some of their machines' pedals - have you tried them and, if so, what did you think of them?
Rad dude.
one question guys if you know maybe, I want to weld the handle on a large 320 angle grinder, can the weld ruin the angle grinder, some components motor, brushes, electonics? i would use around 70 amps stick weld
Shot in the dark here...but would 120A on 120V outlet produce the same results? What would be the requirements for a second pass on 120V?
Preheat and move slower? Smaller wire? Weave?
Thanks!
Hello sir, may I ask where is the electric welding certificate examination, or which company is the electric welding certificate examination, thank you.
Where can we see more of Brad Goodmans builds?

Hello sir, may I ask where to take the electric welding certificate test, or which company to obtain the electric welding certificate, I am in CA
My tig finger fell apart on me. Being more of a hobby welder (I've probably only used it 5 times) I would have thought it would have lasted a lot longer.
There are a lot of cheap knock offs out there claiming to be weldmonger® products, but if you will reach out here

Hey Jody was the 2nd pass also 1/16th filler rod? Would it matter if you went to 3/32 for the 2nd pass? I've seen ER80-S used for chromoly most commonly for this type of chassis work. Would there be any difference in approach/settings if the ER80-S was used? Thanks so much for this video!
yes the 2nd pass here was also 1/16" and I think 3/32" would also work but might require some finesse to not add too much filler. er80s is also frequently used for 4130 but I have never really noticed any difference in amperage settings compared to er70

Great video, absolutely love having the variety of cups to choose from depending on the job. used the jazzy 10 and clear 8 cups I got from you on stainless and mild steel and it was life changing! Is there any benefit to pumping the pedal as opposed to using the machine pulse or can you achieve the exact same effect?
The main benefit to pumping the pedal is when re positioning wrist and torch angle around curves and corners....so that you only pulse when you are ready
Thanks Jody LARRYMOORE
Wow--heaviest wall 4130 I've ever seen. Real pipes there! (from the bike world).
Will Weldmonger be offering the 325 version of this welder?
Yes we will be offering the 325 as well as a package with water cooler and torch. as soon as its back in stock
