When I was young, we went to gigs to listen to the band. Something changed in the 90s. It suddenly became cool to just "be" at a gig so that afterwards you could tell everyone else how cool you were, when actually all you did was stand with your back to the band drinking overpriced fizzy piss, talking bullshit really loudly and annoying others around you. Thankfully, I saw Sigur Ros and Grandaddy in the last year and both gigs were all about the music. I hope we're going back to how it should be. Grandaddy back in the 90s was the first time I noticed people ignoring the band because their BS was so much more important. FFS go to a bar, buy better beer at lower prices and just pretend you were there! Sorry guys, the voices at the beginning of this just reminded me.
I used to love NY in the 90s...You and your girlfriends turn your back to the band and scream back and forth in your nasal LONG ISLAND voices. Some one of a kind concerts. THEY WERE THERE !
Those people talking… this is so fucked up when the audience cannot appreciate the moment and actually listen to and respect the artist. Whomever he is.
don't ever stop mr. lytle.

Agree with all the other comments and not sure what I can really add...I just love his work so damn much
