- I converted Makita DC18RA charger bought from the U.S. to work in 220V AC. I followed the instructions from this site:
dapalan.com/21096075/dc18ra-co...
I used lower than 900Vds MOSFET because I couldn't find one, also I didn't need to replace the ceramic fuse since it was ok.

The adding solder to desolder idea is from this awesome guy (please check his video out)

Also as you can tell I'm not professional at soldering-desoldering. So if you want to learn some good technics check this video dapalan.com/21096075/easy-ways...

Thanks for posting. I have exactly the same problem, but now hopefully can repair mine.
Sir, you make something daunting & defeating (instant destruction of expensive useful accessory) to a practical and reasonable course toward redemption. Simple, yet professional. Not only repairing, but adapted to the environment in which it is to be used. Thank you.
Brilliant!! This may help when I do the same stuff :p, tnx!
Many thanks to you. Everything worked out perfectly. Greetings from Poland 👍
Hope soon to have more projects!!! Like
Thank you sir very good easy job
You ,are the best !
Nice your really good
I have two if those 110vac Makita chargers. My solution, sir , is to simply buy a 230vac to 110vac step down transformer. Problem solved!
Hi, do you know how to convert dc10wd from 110v to 220v?
Thank you so much!
Is this applicable to dc18rc that "popped"
Thanks you ,i'm from Việt Nam
What happen to the blue caps
How the output voltage remains the same when we increase the input voltage. Why does the output voltage not increase as the input voltage increases? E.g. for 110V the output is 20V and for 220V the output should be 40V.
thank you for your sharing!
I just bought the Makita DC40RA 100V charger, can work in 220V ac.
Great video!
amazing. could you build Makita battery adaptor 120-24- v to 18 volt? i would be appreciated to answer tht
I can't believe that Makita would be so cheap as to use the same label for different voltage rated chargers.
