Years ago I started carrying a pair of Wiss 8” bolt cutters. Like $15-16 at the Depot. Cuts an embedded boom in a hand less “violently” than Manleys. Came in handy 2x so far. Lol

The anise is sometimes used as a insect replant by some of the shore guys in the know....along w/ a smoke.
They also may spit on their bait (& rub it in), before casting it.

Add a roll of tp or baby wipes in a zip lock and a simple knife sharpener too. Both are really missed when you need them

I use a Plano emergency box. Pretty much the same thing just not as expensive.

Plano sportsman trunk works way better for this and wont break the bank. Perfect size for a milk crate with tubes for all of your plugs and plano boxes next to it .
