Thank You! It took a lot of dedication (and blood, sweat and tears XD) to be able to play trough it, but it is very rewarding because you can say you have beaten one of the most difficult shmups out there and one of the best for sure! ^^

I've been trying to do this for two weeks, I have every level memorized but keep dying due to positioning or timing errors.
Your playthrough is excellent and encourages me to strive for a run as perfect as yours. Thank you

We got this in 89-90, something like that. It was WAY more impressive than anything we had seen up until then. This was the first time I played a game at home that was arcade perfect, at least to my 10 year old eyes. It was cutting edge back then, I wish they had put Dungeon Explorer as a pack in game, it would have helped sales a lot, Keith Courage was kinda lame for its gameplay, but it was a great demo game because it really showed off the colors of the system, which were one of its best features. The sound was also very good, I remember getting pumped up playing this and Blazing lazers with the sound cranked up. The 80s and 90s were golden.

The perfect R-Type port, the cutscenes from the P.C Engine C-D port, the little playable cutscene in R-Type I and R-Type "II" from the split Turbo-Graphx port, the title music from either the Amiga or C-64 port, the extra hidden stage from the Master System, the extra boss Yashoo from the Turbo-Grafx in Scramble Crossroad, and the music from the C-64 port!

Thank You! :-D Yeah, I put countless hours into this game to go trough it, it has a massive difficulty and you have to know every inch of it in order to beat it. Among the Gradius series it's also my favorite Shoot'Em Up! :-D

This game is like, "Hey, let's see how much more shit we can shoot out of the ceiling and floor"

Very nicely played! I think the virtual console version must overclock the PCE/TG16 sprite limit, this had no spirite flicker. Looks better.

Thank You! Yeah, it perhaps could be but it might be also because of the HD resolution maybe! ;-)

Sad that only level 5 has multi-scrolls. It looks way better because of them.
