Apologies for audio...(No Ego) I just wanted to share some of my thoughts on improving and our attitude when playing this game. Please comment what you would like to see next!
Audio issues aside, this was actually a great commentary. I just hit master tier a couple months ago at 18, and I definitely get what you mean with the anxiety piece. Being in "high elo" for the first time, I had a lot of anxiety surrounding losing the lp that I had just worked so hard to gain, and it definitely weighed on my performance. It's hard, especially as someone new to the elo, to feel confident in the plays that I make when I have others who have been or currently are higher elo than I am telling me that I'm playing poorly, or making the wrong choices. And it's hard to find a balance between not taking responsibility for my mistakes and blaming myself for the entire outcome of the game. Recently, however, I've definitely felt myself come out of my shell a little bit and have taken more risks, and I think it's due to becoming more comfortable in the elo, and with my gameplay in general. Mistakes are going to be inevitable in every game, but focusing on what I can control has helped me significantly in not only staying confident in my gameplay, but in staying tilt-proof in games where I felt that I lost because of my team, too. I'm relieved to know that I wasn't/am not the only one struggling with anxiety in higher matches, and I hope you understand that as well. With that being said, I wish you the best of luck along your journey, wherever it may take you! You've definitely earned a new subscriber.
Thank you so much for the sub! I think I am also starting to come out of my shell and having adapted the attitude of accepting my imperfections, I've been more consistent. Just hit 200lp today and I wish you the best of luck too! :)
Master rank today in terms of percentile is equivalent to d3 in seasons pre-2020 so it’s not really the same prestige in terms of the traditional sense when “high elo” is usually thrown around.. high elo is like pre-2020 percentile rank of masters rank (which is equivalent to mid to high GM today)..
I love a humble player, able to see their mistakes. This mindset will let you climb, honey, nothing worst than a narcissistic player, blaming everyone and everything, but themselves
sorry for the audio issues😅

My left ear has been blessed

Haha I am sorry about that. It happens every once in a while I'll double check in the future:)
