Are you worried about BYU getting caught up in the hype?
Honestly, there is a vibe here akin to 1980 and 1984. There is a powerful defense, like in 1984 an unknown at quarterback, cautious optimism as opposed to elevated expectations, crazy upsets all over the place, just an exciting time for football, but more fear that. The bubble could burst, but the team and coaches staying level headed.
@@stevencraven4897 I don't think we'll go undefeated, but it's crazy that it's not out of the realm of possibility.
I don’t think they are. Because there messaging from the players to the coaches are to remain humble and focus on the opponent.
@@stevencraven4897 nah. The offense led by Robbie Bosco was more of a sure thing over Retzlaff any day and even on Sunday.
@@Mike-aka747 I'm not going so far as to compare this team to those iconic teams just yet. But they do seem to have the right mindset and have the chance to do something very special for BYU.
Adam, excellent use of the word garnering.
I think every episode he uses at least one word that catches me off guard.
I think the hype could be getting to them, obviously the next two weeks will help demonstrate whether that is the case or not, but this the part of playing in a big boy conference. No matter how well we play one week, we have to forget it and stay thirsty for the next game. I’m so excited for the game on Saturday and not just to see if BYU wins, but to see if they have adjusted and are learning to play the best ball that they can each week regardless of their ranking or even conference standing.
I think everyone feels confident that the defense will be prepared, but how will the offense handle losing Pay? Will getting LJ Martin back be enough to get the run game going?
