It’s possible that some of those people buying tons of water and paper products were donating them to us down here where we gratefully received them! Helene hit us hard in South Ga! My job was canceled for 3 weeks! I don’t get my EBT until the last week of the month! I’m truly struggling. I appreciate every line I have stood in that gave me meals, water, ice, and paper goods through these donations. My church is planning to send NC some help as they got hit so much harder than we did.
THE SPONGE CLOTHS: GET THEM!!! When you wet them, they turn into wash rags, but sponges- completely flexible. And I was them over and over and over again. When they dry, they get hard and I can put them away without worrying about mold. I dont use papertowels in my kitchen anymore. I wish they had bathroom rags like this (just a little larger)
And kewpie is like mayo and miracle whip combined. Think mayo with a little more sugar and a little more vinegar. But very very very thick and very very rich.
The Swedish dish cloths are what we call a wettex in Australia. That’s our main sponge in our household. Super absorbent, they’re soft when wet and they get more soft with use. I highly recommend.
I remember in your organization clean outs you have a good amount of “back inventory “ praying you continue to be vigilant to save money - not over buy and we all need to give when and where we can to those who need ! I know you do ! ❤glenda
I never panic buy. I am a pepper and have been for years. We were hit hard in Georgia where i was at and because i had prepared and stocked up wr were fine. The only pain was having to go 30 miles to the only town with power for gas for generator . We cooked with propane and charcoal.
I've been prepping for decades. I keep a spread sheet of all the household products I have. I've tracked how much I use of these products each month. At the end of the month I go through my list, verify what I have and make a list of what I need to buy. A friend made fun of me when he saw my list and that I had 200 rolls of TP (which I had purchased over the years). However when the pandemic hit guess who he called on when he ran out and couldn't find TP? He now does some prepping himself. I prep for weather situations. I'm now ready for winter with what I've purchased, my stocked freezer, what I have canned and dehydrated.
I was watching another grocery haul and the person couldn't find any garlic salt or garlic powder. She said she heard there was going to be a shortage. Glad you found some!
I agree that once you get Kerrygold you will never go back to the others! The Vidalia onions are great, i'm in georgia also and they are such good firm onions, the smell and the taste , you get spoiled for ! LOL
Preparation time is NEVER wasted time. My hubby and I have been stocking up on water. We're going to, but Listerine, Vitamin C, Zinc with copper, cauliflower per instant, beans, etc. A pastor told us to do it now. 👍🏾 God has been dealing with his people to prepare us. Don't assume nothing is coming. Get ready!
Kewpie mayo is slightly sweet. In Australia it’s often used drizzled on top of more expensive sushi and nigiri with a teriyaki glaze. We don’t use much mayo in our household but keep a small bottle of Kewpie in the fridge and cupboard for homemade sushi and it serves for any occasions we need ordinary mayo which we generally don’t keep in stock
I use a regular washcloth size towels colored all the same so everyone knows they are kitchen towels … the large Costco ones ( I love ) for drying and decor ! Glenda
What do you use canned chicken breast in? Im in UK and i go to our costco and see it everytime but canned chicken to me seems weird and i wouldnt know what to do with it so i never buy it x
useit in macroni salad and noodles kinda the sameway like tua salad but have some and dont uae it not when my lunch is alredy made in a retiement comunity its not the same anymore food is so expensive though
Setting here watching you with a generator…hurricane Milton hit us hard near Tampa here. No power so have to watch our gas. No gas and no electricity. But we are safe. It was scary as heck last night with numerous tornadoes as well. Florida definitely needs a break 🌀🙏🏼😵💫🥺
CHICKEN TASTES FUNNY! I believe I know why, same happened to me and this girl at work. It's franken-meat. They take a piece of organic chicken and grow it in a lab and bc it started with an organic piece of chicken, they can call it organic and they don't have to tell you it is lab grown. is that disgusting or what? love your show! thank you so much!
Hello, enjoyed walking through Costco with you. I saw several items I would like to have. Remembering everyone in Prayer. My hometown Dublin got hit by Helena really badly. 😊❤🙏 Ms. Ruby
I have used the Swedish dishcloths. At one point I was a little obsessed with the brand that Hobby Lobby sells. I don't like a huge cloth to wipe my counters so I like the size of them. The thing I don't like is that they dry stiff, just like when you buy them. Except they curl up at the edges and dry in a weird shape. But they do feel nice when they are wet. If you want to try them, I would recommend that you get some at Hobby Lobby. They come in a two pack and they are 40% off right now.
@@MarriageMotherhoodthey do and they’re soft. My Australian family has always used them over 40 years of my life. I really dislike a standard sponge- they’re less effective and always feel dirty whereas a wettex can absorb heaps and is easy to clean.
I have the ones from Costco and they’re too soft to wash dishes with because they can’t scrub, but I guess for cleaning? I think they’re best as a paper towel replacement for counter cleaning but I have the yellow microfiber from the car section for that so idk what to do with them lol they’re a lot cuter than the bright yellow rags tho!
I went to Aldi the other day and the grass feed hamburger is 4.97. I've never brought that before so I got 2. We have been buying meats in plastic for years. No offense it might be the way you clean and it.
I don't think they was panic buying when I go to Costco/Sam's I stock up like that so I don't have to go back for a couple of months I always buy the max of water
A lot of people in "her area" were also buying to DONATE to those who were in need and lost EVERYTHING IN THE STORM and sadly some even lost thier LIVES. Its good to know SHE wont be PANIC BUYING but I am stumped as to how she KNEW this was without a DOUBT what others were doing as opposed to buying for their homes AND buying to DONATE!!!
That is what is going on in our area also. The shelves are empty and much has been donated to organizations sending tractor-trailers to storm ravaged area's.
I have read a lot of comments where some people are saying come January the Dock Workers will be on strike again. So I guess some persons are not taking any chances just in case it is true. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
@@MarriageMotherhood Yeah! I’m not too far from you; I’m in Tennessee and both of my area Costco’s switched to a brand called Maola Farms so back to the higher prices at Kroger or Walmart!
Hi Jia! Love your channel! I can clearly see the phone number in your watch in case you need to edit that out. My Costco here in Winnipeg has had the scanners at the entrance for a few weeks now. Curious if you’re seeing that in your area as well? Much love XOXO 🇨🇦
Thank you so much for pointing out that although you're not panic buying, that there is nothing wrong with people shopping and being prepared for THEIR family. A lot of times people try to run other people's household when it is not their business to be invested in how much toilet tissue another person buys. The bottom line is that a lot of people are not prepared, just for everyday things like inflation, a job loss, the physical inability to get out to a store, etc. There are so many reasons to stay stocked up normally. In our great grand parents generation, it was unheard of not to be as prepared as you could be, but today for some reason, people judge those who do prepare or buy extras. To those who judge, ask yourself, do you want someone in your business as to how you run YOUR household?
A lot of people in "her area" were also buying to DONATE to those who were in need and lost EVERYTHING IN THE STORM and sadly some even lost thier LIVES. @MANIFESTINGMYBESTLIFE I agree with you 100%. Also, people own businesses they stock for employees and clients. I prefer to not generalize and judge. Thanks for not panic buying!
@dyj2806 You must have missed the beginning of the video where the assumptions and judgment were captured. When you assume what strangers are doing and label it a certain way, without asking or being informed with certainty, like she did, it's judging.
I think people are opening their eyes and seeing how vulnerable the country truly is. Whether it’s inflation, natural disasters, whatever the reason, people are seeing that this is becoming more serious. Not a reason to panic buy though!!! Just pick up one extra or two extra depending on the item. You don’t need toilet paper to survive!!
I will panic buy if Trump returns to the White House because of the tariffs he’s threatening to put on other countries. Economists said prices will soar which means if you are having problems with prices now you will be in big trouble then. Stay safe and pay attention people.

These people that panic bought all that stuff because of the port strike did not realize half that stuff weren’t even affected by the port strike 🙄
I am SO glad Costco now will now allow these panic/greedy buyers to bring back their stash of toilet paper, etc.! This is so ridiculous & selfish.
