Offensive lineman is an easier position to fill than a skill position, due to the position's on the O-line being interchangeable and an offensive scheme can make an offensive lineman sufficient enough to play the position. It's a more arduous task to do that with skill positions; Love your thinking though. Not to mention Hamilton can play multiple positions on a defense, giving a team room and options to put together a formidable scheme(just part of the value he offers).
