- A special thanks to Rodney De La Rosa for Trusting us with his truck. Even more than that he trusted us with his story. It is a great thing he does in keeping up the mini truck style. There are not many of them around anymore but they make me happy when I see them. They bring back good memories for me about my own family and the fun mini trucks gave us. I absolutely love this build, and have loved Hardbodies since 93 both my Dad and stepsister had them. When I got in trouble I'd have to wash the trucks. Your story is inspiring, and thank you for sharing it with the community.
Unfortunate that you ran across that kinda guy, l was very fortunate to meet a family that welcomed me with nothing but love. And helped me complete my goal of having one bagged. I cant thank them enough,

Very nice! I’ve been fortunate enough to have owned 4 Nissan hardbodies from new over the years 3 were slammed, with one being a crazy twin turbo show/race truck. I hate when people get the attitude of that guy you met. That is NOT what the hobby is about, as I know you understand by now. Good for you, that you are friendly and helpful! It’s people like you who make our hobby so great! I also understand what you mean by the Hardbody being the truck for you. I’ve been the same way since 1987. All these years later, I still think it’s the best looking small truck ever made!
I know how it is when you’re first starting and get zero help. Back when I started there was no UA-cam or anything. You literally had to do it yourself and learn. And when you’re young with no money it’s hard. Weekend warrior. Lol. But man I miss those days. Nice truck man. Old school. I like it.
Wow, came across your video and I also am building my 96 hardbody been a slow project but I’ll never stop . I too lost my son and three months later lost my father, I know the pain as you do every single day.
For me I gotta stay productive in my off time and the truck is a big part of that.

Nothing screams minitruck like a Hardbody on Pathfinder wheels..makes me miss the good old days before everything was sitting on 22's and up
I'd honestly rather have those 15" pathfinder wheels then any other wheel on an old school 90's minitruck. Or even the 16" chevy 5 stars.

Took the leaf springs out. Rear has a triangulated four link. Bag over axle. @baggd95

Nissan Pathfinder chrome mirrors..you can find them in black also

Plastic center caps, small detail but will make the wheels look a lot better
