Omg Jeremy is like half chimp hald orang. He belongs to both species. He goes in the enclosure w the animals and they love and respect him and acept him as one of their own. Anytime his chimps get sick he's right there w them. When Sally was alive he was the alfa male of the chimps nursery and when Sally was dying he was there every step of the way, he go in her bedroom and lay w her and talk to her and hold her at her last moments that chimp was part of Jeremy family
If I'm ever extremely ill or when it's my time, I'd love to have Jeremy by my side, holding my hand and taking care of me. God bless this man and his compassion. ❤

@@Greylock21 there's no doubt being this caring and compassionate would, especially with primates. Seeing them and knowing what these wild animals have endured being abused and tortured by the hands of man.

Jeremy is such a comfort to the animals. I remember him nursing the late Charlie. So heart breaking for all involved.
I remember Charlie's life and death too. Jeremy was devastated because he knew Charlie so well.

Jeremey speaks love with his eyes. His silence is filled with compassion. When he speaks it’s life giving encouragement.
I remember sitting with critically Ill patients in the ICU and held their hands. I would love volunteer to do that for these primates because I understand the importance of touch to survival. Jeremy, you are a treasure.
I'm absolutely in love with Monkey World! I look forward to the daily updates and will even rewatch them just for fun. I find something I missed on the first watch in almost every show, so thank you so much for taking the time to make the videos for us to watch. Also thank you for the honesty when it comes to their medical needs, especially the diabetes, as I too am diabetic. I was frankly shocked that chimpanzees could develop diabetes, but then I realized they are 98% just like us. Thank you for all the hard work you and the staff do every day and I pray for Kalu's health to get better. Have a blessed day y'all!

I hope Jeremy has someone who cares for him even half as much as he does for the animals at monkey world. Having that big of a heart does take its toll when things go wrong and those people usually don’t ask for help. Sending my love and blessings to him.

Monkey Life is a class-operation! Jeremy does things with his primates that few would dare.... and yet he doesn't seem to take unreasonable risks... he offers comfort. A special place, indeed

Gall stones put me in the hospital for a week 2 weeks later pancreatitis put me back for another week. Poor Kalu! Where was Jeremy when I was so sick??😫😫😫

Jeremy is such an asset to the park....he's committed to the care of the primates not just a few but all large and small and he treats them like they deserve...as a sentient creature that deserves life just as much as any of us humans. And he respects them all and he's been like this right from the get go. If anyone ever wanted a role model to look up to in my opinion you'd be hard pressed to find a better one. Well done sir the world's a better place with him and all the rest of the caretakers and I must add that everyone of the good folks involved in these animals care are certainly as good as Jeremy in commitment...he just has a few years on them is all . These animals have suffered and deserve all the love they get here.
Being a type 2 diabetic that has had pancreatitis and gallstones, I can tell you she is in a LOT of pain. Both are painful, when I had pancreatitis I thought I was dying. It was a feeling I hadn't felt in years. The first attack had me in the hospital for over 2 weeks and I had to finally make them release me because I was in another state from my children and needed to get home. The 2nd time it happened I had a dr in the ER that knew I did not fit the symptoms of someone who should have pancreatitis and she did a bunch of test and found out my gallbladder was so full of stones they were overflowing and the gravel was blocking my pancreas and so I had to have it removed. Havent had an issues since. Praying for Kalu.
Let’s hope the next season doesn’t take too long to be available. We can see that they will be using past video of the rescued animals to fill in as it is likely that no traveling will impact possible rescues due to COVID restrictions. Love this channel!
I love watching all the monkeys and I wish it would not be legal for anyone to have them in their homes.

My gallbladder almost killed me. I could not eat lost 40 lbs. Emergency surgery saved my life. So painful exaggerated by food and water.
I only recently found Monkey Life half way through season 12. I've been watching season 13 while simultaneously starting from season 1. It's so interesting to see their back stories. For instance the rescue of Bryan who is now the Alpha of his own group😀

I think they are on season 16 now? I'm not sure. Lol. I've owned the first 12 seasons of Monkey Life and all of Monkey Business (the show before Monkey Life) and have begged for the next seasons for a few years. Lol. I'm obsessed, obviously.

Just like Kalu, I too, had my gallbladder removed at the age of 38. Thankfully you all figured it out bc, yes, it was extremely painful. Even felt like I was having a heart attack at times. Poor baby, may she rest easy🙏🫶

Jeremy is my favorite on this show.
Episode 20 means there will be a wait until Season 14. I will miss these daily love-ins until the new season starts. I would give anything to go to Monkey World as a volunteer and help wherever I could. Alison, Jeremy and the entire staff deserve so much recognition for the rescue, rehab and education they do. Watching Monkey World gives me hope in a world filled with hopelessness, racism and hate. I feel love when I watch Monkey World and see how wonderful the monkeys and apes are, and their humans are kind, loving and compassionate. Thank you so much!

Happy 2024 everyone,,came to see if season 14 has started. It is showing that the first episode is here but I cannot play it as it is saying that I have ad blocker which is preventing it from playing. The weird thing is that I have always had the ad blocker and can now even play all seasons up to and including the 13th season the problem only starts in the 14th season. I am not removing ad blocker as I am very tired of watching ads that do not relate to me in any way, shape or form or even worse block parts of the screen!! I guess season 13 was the last one for me. Happy watching to everyone else.

Anything to do with gale bladder makes you so very sick and nauseas everything makes you puck. Only relief is once the gale bladder is removed.
i had two large nearly marble sized gall stones still have them and i had chronic i thought stomach pain but was gallbladder pain for three years prior to its removal

I was full of gallstones, unknowingly, until I had one attempt to pass. It came on over the early part of the day and got worse. I thought I was having a heart attack. Uncomfortable is the wrong word. Excruciating is more accurate.

How come there are no gorillas at Monkey World? Because they are not kept as pets or in laboratories and therefor don't need to be rescued?
Correct. They are not generally in need of rescue.
There actually was a gorilla rescue and sanctuary set up in the US at one time, but since they weren't needed they eventually sold the land and it's now a chimp sanctuary.

Is there any clinical data on using herbs for depression among primates (aside from humans)? For any number of reasons Kalue is depressed and I wonder if St. John’s Wart or chamomile may help her to cope with her stressors.

Why can't you take out her gallbladder
She’s an older chimp who’s cells are dying because they aren’t taking in the glucose. She’s basically pissing away her nutrition chances are taking away her gallbladder and her pancreas will kill her. That’s a couple organs and a long surgery. I don’t forsee her making off that table.If there was anything they could do I know they would.

Beyond Wildlife is the only one that carries Monkey World in the US. No, it is not always weeks and weeks between seasons, the new season normally starts up where the previous one left off the next day, with the exception of a few months ago when there was a month between.

There's DIY remedies for removal of gallstones... Pineapple... Oranges ...oilve oil...will make excrete them out...there's natural remedies that science won't do..hope Kalu get well soon...praying for her

If she has pancreatitis, she needs IV fluids and no food. She also needs her gall bladder out.

Kalu passed in Sept 2020. Probably during the time of filming as Season 13 was done covid had already happened
