I know! Especially Gentaro. He still has his cute face though and those kind eyes (even though he can still be naughty and pesters his poor mother a lot) 😂
I never noticed she was missing fingers 😢 poor mama bear . I dont know much on this troop care to share ? I do know she loves her silverback . the way he stares at her and she just sits there smiling looking away 🥰 Makes me sad to think of anything bad happening to her .
@surfinsocal100 To cut a long story short, Genki was moved to another zoo for breeding but she was bullied by Momotaros mother Momoko which distressed her terribly effecting mental health and eating and she bit off a few of her fingers and toes, when the Silverback of the group who liked Genki died from choking Genki was beyond help, it was so bad that they sent her back to koyoto again where her mother bought her back to normal again. ❤

Yes and Genki literally would not put him down for about a year. I’m sure she remembered that Gentaro was taken off her (because she had no milk) and didn’t want that to happen again. For those 12 months or so, she never put him on her back. She always held him closely to her in her arms 🥰❤️🦍
I pray the zoo gets to expand their enclosure so they can get the feels of actually running and going for walks 🙏🏼🤞🏼They deserve it such a beautiful family 🖤🦍
Your videos are so good! I love the real close ups you do of all the gorillas. Other channels zoom in but only a bit. You zoom right in so it’s like we are actually right in front of whichever gorilla you’re filming. It’s like you can almost reach out and touch them It makes a great difference. Thank you! ❤️🦍
This just breaks my heart! These majestic and beautiful and highly intelligent and social, are reduced to sitting around and eating all the time. They would normally be living in a band with 5-30 members. These are separated except for breeding. The baby in this video is so sad, and yes, they have emotions. Normally several would be running around, climbing trees, chasing and play fighting with each other. He has no one. There is NO reason, any wild animals should be in zoos or in sanctuaries, EXCEPT because of man. Many wild animals are on the brink of extinction because of poaching, exotic pet trade, and animal supporters have been having to rescue injured, or orphaned, wild animals of all kinds of species in order to help them populate so their number will stop declining due to man. I can't WAIT for JESUS to COME BACK, and win the great battle and wipe evil of the face of this earth, and we who have been saved, and all animals, will be in Heaven whee lion shall lay beside lambs, there will be nothing but love and peace for us all!!! MAN is TRULY THE CRUELEST ANIMAL ON THE PLANET!
