Yes some snot down first then matting then another coat of base over that. Top coat then has to be applied before 12 hours really. If you leave it for up to 24 hours just go over the top with acetone then top coat down. 👍
Hi mate, great job and really good content. A builder did my roof 3 years ago (fibre glass roof as shown in your video) and 2 small leaks have appeared in the loft ceiling. Can I sand the roof, clean it with acetone and apply the coating same as what you've done here after I've identified and fixed the parts that are leaking? Any advice would be so helpful, any thanks
go over it with something called one coat, wont leak again, fairly new to the market so hasnt took off yet but ask your local roofing merchant/builder merchant and youll hear nothing but good things about it
Nice video. How many buckets did you use roughly for the top coat, compared to the first layer? I only ask, cos at £200 a tin, its so expensive! Am looking at systems for my extension build, and the roof is 100sqm, so looking at £2k just for the first layer! Don't really want to spend another £2k for the topcoat lol. Liked and subscribed!
at the end of the day, doesn't matter what product I actually use, it's all the same chemicals and ingredients otherwise it woukdnt be able to pass the regs cert.. where as you have some young lad trying to feed me bullshit with ads and disads about a resin that sets and it all has the same number of years guarentee.. me and my colleague are blitzing 2, maybe 3 a week. as well as ripping up the existing.
Do you not apply the resin to the deck first then lay the matting then pull the resin trough the matting? Afterwards consolidate?

Yes I’m a res tec installer and always roll the resin out first then lay fibreglass into it then consolidate .
My first thought too ! It’s not fully keyed 🤦♂️

1 ltr per Mt2 for first coat and then 1/2ltr per Mt2 for top coat so a 20kg tub is 14 ltrs so approx 10M2 per 20kg tub
Well presented……
Nice work nice to see it being done thoroughly!
I used exactly the same combination and top coating is flaking in some areas
Do you acetone once sanded?
You should use the primer for new OSB
Flexytec primer 👍
Appreciate the upload but I think you need training in the system, your install isn't bad but it is not correct.
You forgot to prime the joins between t/g boards, with priner.
“Harris rail”
Should apply resin to boards before laying matting then more resin this not the corect wag to install
Correct, boards need priming as well, with the Sika Roofpro system, you can use blackjack, it also doesn't have a hardener, it's moisture activated
It’s an 18 mil OSB 3 TG not ply
That is OSB, not plywood…….

Oh no where’s the base coat? 🤪 big mistake
