It's sad we don't have any rear wheel drive cars with manuals in India. (Except ECCO and a few SUV's) Those are real drifters. Front wheel drives only slide.
Most cars, 5th gear is overdrive which is for cruising and fuel efficiency. Shifting quickly from 4th to 5th is of no real use unless you are doing a standing 1km run. But in any case, 4th to 5th can be done as fast as 3rd to 4th. No difference.
Everything looks good, but for emergency braking, you should press the brake pedal first and the clutch later-right before the car comes to a complete stop. It seems there was a small mix-up in the demonstration at 10:41.

@@evoIndia indians buy car more for showoff rather than their actual needs this is the real reason why pseudo suv and scorpio classic and overpriced fortuner sells most this almost killed the sedan market in india
@@ishanbarai4334 bro you got more ground clearance, more comfort, better higher seating , more space , more safety in an suv . Sedans are the ones to showoff too much speed and risky cornering.
It's a silly weak engine from a global standpoint. The purported love towards manuals by Indians is just an indication of the weak buyer power. This in turn is used by manufacturers as the reason for the low to no innovation in decent automatic gearboxes for the masses. Manuals are no fun when coupled with the 60-110 bhp cars which form the bulk of the cars Indians drive.
I have never such a mind blowing video for a noob like me in a while. Enthusiast and total newbies like me were looking for exactly this kind of video.

Great video as usual Sirish, glad to see your rallying roots help us understand how to drive better ourselves. One minor thing though @1:42 the voice over says 6 speed but the gear shift lever is 5 forward gears and one reverse. Don't we usually mention the gearbox by the number of forward gears? Sorry, I'm confused because @3:15 it is 6 forward gears...
Check at @ 1:43 - the XUV 300 Turbosport has 6 forward gears. And you only include the forward gears when you talk about the gearbox. Same with a 5-speed gearbox = 5 forward gears.
Nothing like that. You just need to know where the torque band is, and launch appropriately. Just make sure you give the car (irrespective of fuel) a rest between launches.
Slipping a clutch is essentially "half clutch" driving - where depress the pedal to a point where the clutch isn't completely engaged. Thus, letting it slip a bit.

How to fast shift from 4th to 5th? I'm new driver. I feel that I'm taking too much time
Practice! A good way is to practice shifting while being stationary, with the ignition off. Start slow and then build your speed up.
