The New Busch Stadium in St Louis, MO replaced a tired multi-purpose, mid 1960s round "cookie cutter" stadium. In designing the new ball park, opened for the NL Cardinals baseball season in 2006, many cues were borrowed from Baltimore's Camden Yards. City location (with views of the Arch), use of red brick & retro architecture, field asymmetry, and throwback graphics & logos were also incorporated. One of my fondest memories of a visit to Camden Yards in the mid 90's was the reaction to a comment i made when first walking in. I said out loud to my buddies, "Wow, what a great stadium!"'. A Camden Yards usher overheard me and commented "It aint' a stadium pal, it's a ball park" LOL.

I watched a world series game in STL's multi-purpose bowl. It was ugly. Glad you got a new one.

I went to many games at Baltimore’s Memorial Stadium, one of the worst, and several at Camden Yards, the first new/ old style stadium. An amazing upgrade.

Well Done! I opened up Camden Yards in my early 20's - there was a private - members only club/restaurant called The Camden Club on the 7th and 8th floor of the warehouse. It was a great experience as a huge baseball nerd and even bigger Orioles fan! I really hope that we can keep the name - I cant imagine calling it anything other than OPaCY!

Camden Yards is one of the architectural wonders of the city. It’s impeccable how it seamlessly merge into downtown, making “walk to the stadium” an experience not only possible but also very pleasant. Not to mention the great job they’ve done in hiding the parking spots from immediate sight from the most attractive part of town - Inner Harbor. Love it!

Bucket list is to go to every Baseball Stadium. Lucky that Camden is in my back yard. Not many stadiums ive been to hold a candle to it.

This was a great video. I went to Johns Hopkins right at the last year of Memorial Stadium. I went to seven of the last games because we could get in for $4 and walk the entire stadium. I got hooked on to baseball then. I was able to go to Camden Yard for many of the early games during the opening season, before the Orioles started getting good that year and then place was sold out pretty much every game soon after. Camden Yards was such an upgrade over Memorial Stadium but I still have great memories of Memorial Stadium when the CFL Colts played their and I went to many a game, buying concessions from all the neighbors around the stadium.

So thankful to visit Camden with my late father, a Yanks fan, who passed unexpectedly in a natural disaster. Thank you Baltimore Orioles for bucking the multi-use stadium trend and keeping stadiums in the city center.

Thank you, John's Hopkins, for another great video. It was just a coincidence that I moved to Baltimore in April of 92. Just to see the opening of the best ballpark in baseball. Go O's 🧡

I grew up in Baltimore County near Ft Howard. I have been an Os fan since 1966 I was 11 years old. I retired out of the Navy in 2000 here in the Norfolk Va area. I regularly go to Norfolk Tides game, they are the Orioles AAA team. It is my understanding that the tides park was designed by the same people that did Oriole Park at Camden Yards. It dose remind me of Camden yards. Check out the photos on line, and tell me if you will agree.

Oriole Park at Camden Yards is simply beautiful. It’s my favorite ballpark (despite that my primary allegiances are with the Red Sox and Cubs).

William Donald Schaefer also was the biggest supporter of bringing the NFL back to the city, if it wasn't for him Baltimore may not have the Baltimore Ravens
