    I bought a little kit on a whim, and I was wondering why the design looked so thicc it's because I was threading my needle like I was going to sew something. Everything makes sense now. Thank you so much! You're awesome!!!!

    This was great, couldn’t find a video that explains why/how you thread it and leave the tail! Everyone seems to skip that part and I didn’t understand why there was a tail in all the videos I’ve seen!!

    I actually thought it was like sewing and you always knotted the ends so I would end up using 12 when it called for 6 since I always folder it and tied it at the end. Makes so much more sense now!

    To answer your question:
    I promise, if you keep the tail long enough and don’t pull too hard, the tail will not come through while embroidering. When you hold the needle, try to hold on at the eye to help keep it from coming through. It just takes some practice but it’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it!

    Just a tip for everyone 🙏 Cute the thread in 45 degrees on any angle with sizers, so that way thread goes very easy into niddle hole. Thank you🌍

    I LOVE the way you made the ending knot. That way it can't pop out through the fabric. Sometimes for the beginning knot, if I'm afraid the knot may eventually pop through, say I'm using two strands of thread. I'll make the beginning knot, put my needle through to the front and then when I go back down, I'll slip the needle through the two strrands above the knot before going back to the top. Did that make sense?

    How does the tail not come out of the eye when you’re embroidering or pulling the thread to make a stitch? Are you holding the needle with the tail and the thread next to it?

    • @lesliekendall5668
      @lesliekendall5668 3 роки тому +2

      The knot on the bottom always allows there to be tension in the thread.

    • @lesliekendall5668
      @lesliekendall5668 3 роки тому +2

      You tie the final knot at the end when the thread gets short enough that there's not enough thread to work with and still knot it at the end.

      If I make a knot where the needle is then it gets sometimes hard to pull through the fabric. That's why I leave the tail at the start.

      Say if you want to use 2 strands, all she was saying is that she threads the needle with 2 strands and leaves a tail. But some people put 1 strand through the needle and tie the ends together to make it end up 2-stranded.

  • @alyssarodriguez5865
    @alyssarodriguez5865 3 роки тому +3

    Ok so how you thread your needle you leave a tail & at the top you make a knot as well as the bottom you make a knot right? Sorry I've watched it over and over but you didn't show how you knot it at the top. I'm a beginner so I know absolutely nothing I'm trying to learn

      There's NO knot at the top.

    • @lesliekendall5668
      @lesliekendall5668 3 роки тому

      She made a single knot at the bottom (which usually isn't big enough and will pop through the fabric) but instead of making the knot bigger by tying knot after knot in the same place, she made the knot larger on the bottom by wrapping the thread around the needle and sliding it down to the lower knot.

      @@prideandpity I've never done just one strand but if it's that small or if it's iffy like that, I'd loop it through a stitch on the back and knot it to the loop.
