Talksport kept asking Stefan Borson about these letters and Borson kept refusing to accept the premise of the question and just called Mark a liar if he was implying that he had gotten a letter. Turns out Borson was correct.
Not really, if you listen to this podcast you will get the explanation why he did it. It was all started by City twitter accounts.

One thing I'll always agree and support Goldbridge with is his stance on VAR
Even with VAR, I'm not fully behind what he says. VAR is needed but it needs to be more streamlined and there needs to be more accountability for the bad decisions (which should never happen because of VAR!).
For me, I feel like the way it has been implemented by the PGMOL has been deliberate to try and destroy VAR's reputation. I'll await my cease and desist...

Look at the two goals scored from corners in the NLD. Ben White messes with Vicario up until the ball is even in the box. Before the ball makes it to the box, Ben White has already separated from Vicario and isn't interfering with his attempt to save the header at all

Ten Hag has no plan B, he's tactically clueless. A league 2 manager could make this United team harder to beat. Since the cup final win over Newcastle United have been bloody awful. Mark What I'm really curious about is if this new leadership under INEOS really wants to clean up the club, bring in a new manager, and get rid of like 10 players who are toxic underperformers. Then go and get players who actually want to play football. Man Utd has a bad reputation at this point, players don't really come there to improve as footballers but are there just for the big paycheck. Are INEOS willing to go through all these to improve the image of the club? I doubt they will.

Mark. Using VAR to deflect away from how bad Erik Ten Hag has performed is mind numbing. We all see through it. The reason mainstream pundits won't come on your show is because they do not want to be associated with somebody that behaves like a man child. What Arsenal fans seem to be objecting to is this idea that only Arsenal do this. Saka got the world's brightest spotlight from Neuer's outstretched leg, and now Havertz over the weekend. Not only does this not happen with other clubs (City have done this so much over the last few years) but other players (like Kane) and teams have historically regularly been praised for "playing smart" and "making the contact into a penalty" and everything else. They're doing the same thing, and nobody EVER called them out about it to the scale that they now are to Arsenal exclusively.
If none of these were ever given as penalties, Arsenal fans would be over the moon, and would be beneficiaries. Among so many other things Bernardo wouldn't have got a penalty for running more than his own body width SIDEWAYS into Xhaka two years ago.
But what people are calling for is for ARSENAL to "not be allowed to get away with it". The implication here is rather obvious: They want other clubs to continue doing it and to continue getting penalties doing it.

I am annoyed by governments attempts to introduce bills to make the internet safer for kids because the internet was never made to be safe for anyone. As for the preventing kids under 18 accessing certain sites, if a kid can lie about their age to join the military, they can lie about their age to make a social media account. Bills won’t make kids safe online, the kids’ parents should be teaching their own kids about internet safety. It’s not the government’s job to parent children, because their own parents can’t be arsed.

Liverpool fan. No way should you sack ETH. There is no alternative, no good alternative anyway. I also dont think giving him another full season is right, but he should certainly be given till AT LEAST January next season. Players need to go this summer for yous to flourish and thats just how it is. Maybe ETH isnt the future of united, but there are plenty of players in that squad that are clearly a rot in the team

Howard Webb ( or Dermott?) said there had been a shift in officiating over the last number of weeks. So were they getting right before or right now. They can’t have it both ways. This is a theme throughout the season. Just one example: At the beginning of the season how many yellow cards were handed out for time wasting? Players are wasting more time now without consequence.
Whatever your team allegiance, surely we have now ALL got to the point of thinking that VAR should be scrapped. Let’s have goal line tech and automatic offside but end it right there. Anything that is a matter of opinion should be down to the opinion of the referee. We don’t need a second opinion. We will still have arguments about referees decisions but that has not been solved by VAR so lets drop it and there will not be the ridiculous delays and endless analysis which ultimately is just depressing.
I just want the pre var days back. Even if it was full of terrible decisions itself, I’d rather have that era back.

Big fan of the content and the pod, we need to have a real look into VAR and how it is used but I wholeheartedly disagree that it is the issue and that it should be scrapped.
In my opinion the main issue comes from the inconsistency at which the rules are implemented ie. Fouls, red cards etc.
These inconsistencies come from the fact the rules can be interpreted differently by whoever is referee/ VAR on that day. Not having VAR will not eradicate decisions like the Hojland/ Henderson incident differing from the one on Trafford. I think everyone has a short memory for some of the decisions in the league pre VAR, it’s just now embarrassing we have the technology and we’re using it so poorly. Everyone’s main issue with the premier league won’t go away if we get rid of it, everyone just wants to be unified in having something to blame other than pointing the finger at the individuals responsible rather than the ability to look back at incidents and make the correct call. If we want inconsistency to stop then scrapping VAR is not the answer, using it properly is.
Sorry for rambling I just see a lot of negative comments on this subject aimed, in my opinion, in the wrong direction.

Just a heads up with the fouling the GK.. if the GK is attempting to jump for the ball and there is contact the ref blows for a foul.. if there is contact before he attempts to play for the ball a foul isn't given.. I've noticed this for a while now.. Watch Ben White for Arsenal, as soon as the ball is in the air he pulls away from the GK.. So it seems like the players have been told what is and isn't allowed.. Plus Hojlund uses his arm to push Henderson so and the ref gave it not VAR.. VAR probably wouldn't over turn it either way

I'm not even a United fan but I feel like sticking behind Ten Hag is settling for mediocrity which seems to be the United way as of late.
Utd need to start again. Wipe the whole strategy. They need a new culture, a new identity. The current one ruins managers, ruins players, arguably ruins the supporters. A sense of pride became a sense of self entitlement, arrogance, now complacency and mission creep, short sightedness and even shorter memories. None of what needs to be restarted can be in a meaningful way with the current owners. A bigger jolt is needed. Replacing Ten Hag won't work long term. Another Manager will come in and be ruined, new players will come in and get worse. You can't keep repeating the same thing over and over every 2-3 seasons.

Mark is initially correct, Palace has a structure. Where he is wrong is, Manchester United don't even have a structure with all of our best players on the pitch!

No reason united attacking went missing in that game. Obviously valid reasons for the defence falling apart but why did ten hag mot try and change the approach to getting the ball forward.
Hojlund's arm pulls 1 of the keepers arms down that just cant be done to any keeper, if that hadn't happened then maybe it would have been all ok. I rewatched the clip (as a reply to me below suggested) on sky sports website and they have a camera showing the challenge from the front and you can clearly see Hojlunds left elbow pushing down on the keepers right arm causing it to be pushed down, clear foul on a keeper
Go back and watch the replay as what you just said never happened. Why lie?

The reddit soccer replay shows that clearly also a close front shot shows it better Hojlunds elbow comes down on the keepers arm forcing it down, you cant go dragging down keepers arms clear foul

Media will not criticise VAR. They never call it out. They go on about Man City and how great they are but totally miss if VAR had got the decisions right Man City would have been out of the race. You could put Pep, Klopp, ancelotti or any other brilliant manager in control of that team and they’d only last 6 months to 18 months as the players will down tools.
So in reality the players need gotten rid of (barring mainoo, garnacho and hojlund). problem with that is who’d buy them? United players are typically on more money than their competition, there are better players at other teams who would command a cheaper transfer fee and wage. So it’s not a quick fix. As to get rid of some of the players you’re going to have to wait until their contract term is up or even terminate them.
You can have best tactics in the world... when Casemiro jumps in like that it won't matter

I think the most difficult aspect of ETH’s tenure to explain away is the signings he has made. The legacy players that are part of a poor culture shouldn’t get to ‘sack’ another manager, but so many of ETH signings have been playing without any sign of being coached well or being on side. That should suggest that with the new structure being put in place, starting with a fresh and untarnished manager could be a better move (if someone good was available, of course).
