He did more than that. He straight up won them bronze. They were going to fall behind Germany but he saved it for them. Last routine of the competition for them, the only routine he did that night, and it clinched bronze for them. Incredible moment
Was he a bboy? Flare to handstand was so clean, I thought he was gonna airflare (all hell would've broke loose if he did, I've never see anyone airflare on a pommel horse)
The problem with Alexander Artemev is that he is not constant. Right at the start there was a brief hesitation, and also a few seconds later you can see his legs opening a bit....but then he follows with a brilliant, explosive closing in his routine. If you want to see a pommel horse that was constant and as perfect as it can get, see Soviet Valentin Mogilny.
Artemev's routine on the pommel horse is what kept the mens team in medal contention in the team event.

Favorite pommel horse routine EVER. And I don't even follow men's gymnastics! I remember the first time I saw this. My jaw hit the floor.
We could use this guy again right about now!
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS ROUTINE!!!! he is absolutely incredible!!!
Love love love when he hits this routine. Talent at it's best.
wow. this is incredible.
Incredible talent!
He's soooo good at pommel horse!!
We need him back... SOOOOOOO BAD!!! Artemev + Ishino + Naddour = Gold Medal winning team.
What he does on pommel horse, I've never seen any other man do. He makes people get on their feet.
His toe point and his lines are amazing
One of the most dynamic PH routines I've ever seen! He could have scored even higher if it weren't for those minor form breaks!

Not sure if he did any bboying, but he is a DJ and he spins records in clubs, so it wouldn't surprise me. ua-cam.com/video/Kf_5FUOL3qc/v-deo.html

He is basically break dancing on that thing..

But keep working man
