Asia hates weed and loves cigarettes..
Becuase weed is still a psychedelic.
@@allio3459 and cigarettes gives yourself and your loved ones cancer... you do the gamble on which is worse.
@@allio3459 No shit, Sherlock.
And betel nut
@BeeBee-pl9ly I agree also the same with betel nut but asians in asia are...wild lol
Asia hates weed and loves booze
funny when they are not genetically good at alcohol break down
Asia hates weed and loves tobacco...
@@BeeBee-pl9ly You got that right!
@@Buydaa.M That must be why alcohol violence is rare there, but common in the west.
There are an absurd amount of dispensaries everywhere. I’ve been to various parts of Thailand. These places are almost always empty. Not sure how they even stay in business. Very strange.
"Asians Hate Weed?" The movie "Harold and Kumar" was literally about two pot smoking Asian guys!
They were Asian-Americans. If they smoke pot either in India or Korea they’d be in jail eating rooster meat sandwich.😂
It's an american movie and they're American Born Asians (ABA), they're talking about true asian countries.
This Episode is about eastern asians and south east asian countries and culture like Thailand and Japan, while India is an old indio-germanic culture and Subcontinent of Asia
You guys always have the most energetic perspectives on everything what a delight
There's obvious a reason why Asia is not fan of weed despite with all the scientific studies. Do you ever wonder why there are plenty of employers including the US federal gov have a drug-free policy that includes weed? Sometimes, it's not about how severe the drug is to the human body but whether how it could affect productivity and job performance. Unlike booze, you can remain high for as long as 1/2 a day.. if you think it is okay to smoke a joint the night before you operate a big crane the next day, you yourself probably had too much weed..
No, it's because people kept drinking, even people in the government.
I was recently in BKK, there are weed shops openly on the high street and in shopping malls. Also, most of the tourists were East Asian, especially Chinese, not westerners.
I can understand Asia's reluctance to legalize drugs considering the history of the Golden Triangle and the British Opium Wars.A lot of pure heroin was smuggled into from these regions. Not surprising is /Aussie/UK/America's appetite for drugs
They mention that but they don't mention about WEED. He took the conversation about weed too far. Did he talk about stats with weed related issues vs alochol?
It's not history that is inspiring these laws...
Sure, Asians drink and smoke excessively but china’s spiral down into abyss due to opium was beyond traumatic for all. I think general laidback effects of weed reminds asians of chinas meltdown due to opium. I
💯💯💯
Was curious of the reasons behind the ban. You guys make great points
These huge overturns are usually all about money. You have to think about who loses the most by legalizing this? The ones who sell it illegally have enough money and power to influence laws.
Archaic drug laws are almost always attributed to unfamiliarity. The Asian boomer generation still thinks that cannabis has the same effects as coke or heroin. Asians are also highly concerned about productivity. Potheads have a notorious reputation for being lazy and complacent.
Now that you mention it... I never noticed that before until you said so... that is weird.
I love weed and I’m Asian majority of Asians in my area partake as well idk where these guys got this point of view 😂
As a Dutch person myself i love smoking weed it's very relaxing😊
Great btw👍
And greetings from the Netherlands🇳🇱
Same in Singapore, the government and the opposition parties agreed that if Singaporeans go to Thailand and try weed in any form!!!! They will be given drug tests when they return back here and can end up in prison!!!!!
Lol, Thailand is the new Amsterdam!
Weed doesn't make you anything that you are not. if you enjoy to slack, you will be slacking.
Imo, it's better to buy it from a store than from the black market.
Right. I know people who become more productive from a couple pulls. It’s all about the person and their self-control.
Mainland asians hate weed while every asian I grew up with in the USA has tried it at some point. Huge difference in culture
Yes, and it did nothing good for those kids!!! 😮💨
As a Canadian. I am scratching my head.
That was an atrocious thai accent ya'll did. I think you got mixed up with a Viet accent 🤣
i bet the local beer companies whispered something in the leader's ear. Weed takes too much away from their profits.
There are plenty of Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, and Singaporeans at weed shops in Thailand. Times have changed. Younger asian tourists are more adventurous now.
I was ginna stop by on my holdiays, oh well
PM.Srettha Taweesin's thumbnail is...🤣 😅
men! I been shmoking weed for 23 yeer now and still loving life every time I smoke it....
I’m Thai and would be extremely happy if Thailand banned the sale and production of weed.
Thavisin is a business man at first, he never had official sit at the political aspect of Thaïland. He did many business mostly in real-estate then he flew of Thaïland for several years, he came back to Thaïland only because there's a conservative political side and they promised him to help getting him to the Prime minister sit. Nothing legit about him.
It’s so funny that u guys mention not bringing weed into Singapore, but while I was studying abroad there I had a friend that accidentally brought in a proper joint. He still smoked it outside of our dorm while it was raining 😂😂
He wasn't caught... But if he was... He'll wish he didn't 'accidentally' forget anything ever again...
HI is considering legalizing pakalolo. But they better look at the mistakes that CA made first. Notice how Gavin Newsom isn't talking about the enormous tax revenue like he used to. Because it's not there.
Yeah, I agree. I do not partake in weed at all (and am actually not a fan of it), but I didn't really mind what others chose to do in their own lives, so I wasn't too concerned when it was legalized in certain states in the US. But now after having seen personally the changes (not saying ALL recent problems are ONLY just due to weed, that's not what I'm asserting) from before and after legalization in CO, CA, OR, etc., I absolutely do think it was the wrong choice to legalize it for recreational purposes (genuine medical uses is a completely different story). It did nothing good or beneficial for society or the affected communities, and only increased a lot of the problems and issues that had already been plaguing those areas to begin with.
sake for breakfast rather than a bowl
Make Thailand great again!
Just ate good food and no more weed needed.
Why? Just why? Why would they do this?!
He looks pretty tall haha. People smoke a lot in Asia that is for sure (tobacco is horrible). They need to ban tobacco, and we need to do the same in the U.S. But the powers that be will have that person killed along with their career (tobacco companies have a lot of power and pull, which are one in the same haha). Weed isn't great either but that's a whole new story per se.
If you ban weed, you have to ban alcohol. Weed causes way less issues. Nobody has died from it.
I'm not a Thai, but I'm born and has been living in a S.E Asia country all my life.
IMHO.... I'm actually glad Thailand's experimentation for allowing recreational marijuana has Failed. When its was 1st allowed 2yrs ago... There are a small minority of people in my country using Thailand's example as a criticism to my own nation's strict drug laws... Saying things like "See, Thailand has legalize recreational marijuana usage... did you see the nation crumble ?? Do you see problems ??".
But guess what... There are societal problem associated with casual drugs use... It starts with minor things like 'Magic Mushrooms' and 'Weeds'... And usually ended up with stronger stuffs like Heroin and Cocaine...
No where in S.E Asia do we need a one or two streets filled with druged out 'zombies' high on drugs like some American cities...
As to the question will banning it 'solved' the problem... No it won't... If hanging drugs traffickers won't deter people from trying to get some money... Simply banning it won't miraculously solve the problem... But seeing how Thailand is tiptoeing back... Legalizing it didn't solve the problem either and worst, had let the genie out of the bottle... or the toothpaste out of the tube...
The classic "gateway drug" theory has been debunked so many times. Weed does not encourage you to use harder drugs.
@@BeeBee-pl9ly My country has remained largely drug free.... As long as I'm alive, I'm not taking the risk...
Last thing I want my nation to end up is a horde of homeless drug addicts everywhere in the country.
@@hloc weed has a even lesser effect than alcohol. That would make alcohol which is actually addictive more detrimental than weed. Would that also mean that the alcoholics are looking to try harder drugs?
@@BeeBee-pl9ly I don't mind if you ban both actual...
But again... Alcohol is taxed heavily here and both selling and drinking it is very restrictive... From what time you can buy/sell... to where you can drink after a certain period in time.
So yeah... You can banned both and I won't give a damn... Cigarette too if that's your next example...
Yeah, I agree. I do not partake in it at all (and am actually not a fan of it), but I didn't really mind what others chose to do in their own lives, so I wasn't too concerned when it was legalized in certain states in the US. I hope Thailand becomes a more stricter country. A stricter country makes the people there better. Or they can be a wreck just like USA is. Def don’t follow western footsteps
Damn
Alcohol is king in Asia
I wouldn't say that the new prime minister is more conservative and actually the party that legalized weed is still in the government but it has less power now. The previous prime minister and government came from a coup so in terms of political spectrum, they are far-right. Yes, they legalized weed for their own profit and they lost control that is why Thailand is trying to ban it again.
So the far right guys were the ones that legalized? I would think that any government that legalizes would be western friendly over Russia/China
Cuz of propaganda
It smells disgusting
You smell disgusting and your mom still loves you
Hate too say it but it's too late for Thailand
Yo
Hate it but it's from Asia
Thats sad news man
It's because it makes asian smell like bad hygiene fish smell
Asians and Slavs need to get it together, weed is cool and we’re gonna do it so get with the times
Not this Asian. Weed 24/7
In west Indies I mean in Guadeloupe where I am from it s still illegal Dudes!!! We are so fucking late❕
Damn it 😂
Like you make a comment about why drugs should be kept out of Asia but you mentioned drugs that are actually bad. Weed is different and EXTREMELY less dangerous than alcohol. A drug that isn't meant for our bodies. Your type of people who say these things always ignore alcohol. Why allow alcohol vs cannabis. Talk about that. Don't act like the rules make sense. How about you make rules pertaining to science and stats? Alcohol in each country has more deaths and problems because of alcohol, never weed. Also why is China seen as bad compared to Japan, if China banned drugs too? Broken logic.
Based weed is gay
That’s kinda wack, but at the same time good for the overall morale of the country, definitely not their wallets tho. I was there like 3 months ago I’ll tell you what, there was more weed and weed vendors just hanging around than I’d see in the streets of Oakland or Amsterdam. It was getting pretty wild not gonna lie. People gotta chill. On the other hand I’d rather see a friendly stoner and at times a low key paranoid one than seeing a weirdo dude that’s hella drunk or being an asshole.
I’m Asian. I ❤ weed.
yes keep weed legal
I’m Asian and I love weed
I love smoking weed.
Yo, Fung Bros you are wrong about the US being the richest country in the world!!!!! Go Google about the 10 richest countries in the world 2024, the US isn't on top anymore!!!
Weed makes you smart bro
Thailand had the best bud I smoked in a while! 🫡
Damn
