  • In honor of the legendary Asha Bhosle on her momentous 90th birthday, I'd like to pay a heartfelt tribute by sharing a rare gem from her illustrious career. This extraordinary piece is from the Pakistani film "Yahudi Ki Larki" (1963) and holds a unique history. Originally intended for the Indian film "Sharif Daku," fate intervened, and it found its place in the Pakistani cinematic world.
This melodic masterpiece, composed by Hafeez Khan and penned by Shevan Rizvi, is a testament to Asha Bhosle's transcendent talent. It's a joy to celebrate the fact that the music of this iconic subcontinent singer became a cherished part of our own film heritage.
As an ardent admirer of Asha Bhosle's unmatched artistry, I take great pleasure in presenting this song as a tribute on her 90th birthday. May her voice continue to enchant and inspire generations to come.
Acknowledgment: Grateful for the information provided by Fayyaz Ahmad Ashar.

Excellent Song Absolutely a Magnificent Song ...... I Have Heared Many Times Before When It Was Broadcasted By Radio Pakistan.. Asha Bhosle Had Visited Pakistan Very First &&& Last Time In 1960 .... BUT It's Not Coming In Mind In Which Part Of Country Either West OOR East ..... She Sang This Song On Request For The Movie "Yahudi Ki Larki" ....... On That Occasion She Met To Our Pride The Madam Noorhehan WHICH Was The Most Attractive Personality For Both Asha Bhosle &&& Lata Mangeshkar .......

Great and unique upload, but instead of a mllipn words used to show much esteem you have for Asha, you could have elaborated on how this ong ended up in a Pakistani film. Of course, we all hold Asha Ger in high estsem and needless to utter lsame phrases to say the same thing again and again

As Inaam bhai mentioned the song was originally for the film Indian film Sharif Daku (1960) it was unused and the film producer for Yahudi Ki Ladki bought the song and used it in this film.

That doesn't explain the reason for it. Can any unused song in India be utilized in any Pakistani movie????? There has to be a reason behind it.

Thank you for this . I am thrilled as heard this way back when I was a teenager on Radio Pakistan and adored Ashaji ‘s vocal artistry. My sis and I always rated her higher though she got all the ordinary tunes. But Ashaji’s genius made ordinary compositions into something special. No amount of praise for Asha Bhosle is enough. Genius will out! She is not a part of the music establishment like her sister who never helped her in fact…..,
