Add an all-tube Fender blackface w/silver grill cloth and it's party time in San Diego.
All the Vintera guitars have a modded version too, with a 9.5" rad neck , satin finish the back of the neck & trick switching. I love the old school Vintera guitars personally. I'm super excited by the Jaguars & Jazzmasters with matching headstocks 👍👍👍

The middle pickup position sounds great...
You can really hear the pickups with the Stomp. I think you've figured out how to demo guitars in any chaotic environment.
I spent a lot of time working on my patches with a demo sound in mind. A few people have commented that the tones could be better in various videos but my mentality is that for demos I want a kind of flat and sterile sound that lets the character of the guitar or pedal come through. My clean and light crunch patches are super un interesting imo but they let the guitars do their thing without covering them up. The weakest link in my rig right now is the lav mic, ill be replacing that with a headphone mic next namm
@@60CycleHumcast Yeah, I like it because I could go through your videos and compare different guitars, no matter where in the world you were when you recorded them. Good call on getting a headset mic - better isolation of your voice from the noise.
@@lance134679 I just now pulled the trigger on a broadcast quality headset mic on amazon, lol. Im going to henning paulies house next month for an event so ill test it out there. And yeah, one of the neat things is hearing just how much output different pickups have through the hxstomp rig, the clean channel is well below breakup but some pickups push it into drive pretty hard. Its been a really great consistent rig.
Ryan, how different would this feel to a Player Series Strat?
Both are very high quality so there isnt much difference, ive played player series teles and FSR ones from Mexico and there isnt much sound difference, most likely the same for strats :) hope i helped
Not sure if I am sold on the price, its still a Mexican made guitar (most likely with the same fret finish as the player and the old mim standard). You can get a Warmoth with the same specs for less or even one with stainless steel frets and its made in the USA.
You're paying for the brand. Some people like that and want to support legacies.

I totally agree, but warmoth fretwork is nothing. They don't claim to do fretwork. They don't do fretwork. That said I would never but one of these vinteras. The player series is great. I don't see the 200+ price hike on these fellaa

the thing I hate on modern Fenders are exactly those awefull huge frets. Reason all my Fenders were sold one by one... honestly, this might be one to get just because it has smaller frets

I like these but $900 a Mexican made strat is too much... should be in the $600 range... tremendous markup on these...
Iv'e come to the conclusion I just don't dig the thin glassy sound of a Stratocaster.
Not my experience with Strats. The bridge pickups are thinner and bites more. But the middle and neck pickups sound fairly thick

Don’t worry. Strats love comes with age.
I used to not love strats. But that bridge position in most strats are horrible. I learned to use the other 4 really well
