Broke my heart when my Grandmother died. I ordered this DVD for my dad. He is eighty four. He was hospitalized for 35 days with COVID. By the grace of God, he is home now...although not doing well. I took this to him today. We watched the entire thing. I actually saw a twinkle in his eyes and a smile on his face! Such a blessing! It is an absolutely amazing DVD.

Jimmy Fortune sang at my cousin's funeral. I didn't get a chance to meet him. but I really wanted to. He sang "Over The Sunset Mountains". I would give everything I have to sing with him just one time.
There is absolutely nothing better than a perfectly blended quartet. I’ve been a huge statler brothers fan for years and now I have a new group to follow that’s even better.

@@beverlydelarosa5969 Thank you for your comment and I love the Issac’s and have attended several gospel concerts where they were also part of the lineup. I remember when the Issac’s was actually a quartet and not a trio. I just greatly enjoy their personal rendition of each song. It’s like a new birth to the same old mundane songs most of us have grown up listening to.

OMG, that harmony bout to give me a spell. Mike Rogers is THE MAN! To hit that high C he hits on the chorus with that kind of power and purity of tone is almost otherworldly. I just keep playing that chorus over and over.

Elizabeth was the first son Jimmy Fortune ever wrote and it's a good one. Wonder how many times he performed it and yet it always does it with passion. I never thought I would ever here anybody sing tenor above the great Jimmy Fortune and it took my breath away, My God. This recording is way above Statler Brothers territory.

reminds me of my second niece named Elizabeth who died in the womb the seek she was to be born I told Jimmy this story and he was kind enough to get back to me and thanked me for loving the song and that he had a family member who had the same thing happen to them

Watched this DVD on a motor coach bound for the Florida Gospel Music Association in Winter Haven, Florida with Bill Bailey! I was overwhelmed and sang with it all the way there and all the way back to Bradenton. I have to purchase it. I may buy several as Christmas gifts for my vocally talented friends. I just realized I have loved Jimmy Fortune all my life. I grew up listening to the Statler Brothers and Jimmy was my favorite. But to me he was ‘the little guy who hit the high notes’. I still listen to them occasionally, but I guess I figured they were all gone. A relic of my 70s and 80s childhood. Then the algorithm brought me this. I recognized his voice instantly. And just like that I have a new favorite musical act. Bless you, Jimmy! And thanks for all the music.

@@agnesfredericksen9892 The high harmony part is sung by Mike Rogers. Jimmy was a tenor with the Statlers ... in this group he goes back and forth from lead to tenor, but Mike sings the high-harmony, it's one of the things that makes him a great session guy in Nashville.
I know who Jimmy is and he him self is an incredible Tenor Voice. In this video I was referring to who David clarified and identified as Mike Rogers . Thanks David !
