It was close, but I have to give it to the note 20 for overall better camera, it was better in the wide angle, better at zoom, better at night performance, & only differed from the iPhone in slight color difference, which everyone already knows Samsung love saturated or boosted colors, but as long as the details, sharpness & dynamic range is there, I'll give & take. But definitely Samsung for the overall better camera in this comparison, & not to mention it has way more capabilites & features than the iPhone. So the accurate verdict as overall better camera has to be the note 20.

This is the best, most comprehensive Camera Comparison video that I've ever seen!! Thank you so much for this:) I agree that the Iphone has some more realistic shots, and is better for Portraits. But, I was really impressed with Night vid of Samsung.
Both phones do a good job overall when it comes to photography. Hard to pick a winner 🏆. I would go with the Note 20 simply because I prefer Android over iOS.

I had a galaxy s20... I tried and tried with the camera to get a 'normal' skin tone. All filters off, beauty mode off.. tried it all. It would still smooth out my face and either give me a pale skin tone or a very high contrast zombie type look. The misleading things with Samsung camera reviews is that in scenery and object photography the colors seem OK, but Samsung really doesn't do well with skin color. I compared it with my girlfriends iPhone 11 and those colors were spot on. I believe Google knows this face smoothing effect is going on with multiple OEM's and I read that they are going to have some sort of rule that OEM's can't smooth faces or alter colors in any 'normal' modes.
@@RedskullPro Yes I have heard that the color profiles and the skin tones are calibrated to be pleasing for Asian skin tones and sensibilities. I am more olive tone Mediterranean and Samsung colors are just off. Probably the best method would be for a phone manufacturer to get the colors as close to true life as possible. I know that Asians are constantly wearing visors, masks, shades, etce etc to keep their faces from getting wrinkles, maybe Samsung wants to appeal to the Asian females by adjusting their skin tones and smoothing out the faces? Even in NORMAL/NO effect mode. Terrible. I think Google Pixel has the most accurate skin tones followed closely by iphones.
In some pictures the Iphone 11 has better dynamic range with better exposed clouds and in night time / day tim video the Iphone also exposes bright areas the best with the least amount of noise so you cant say that the Note 20 does have better dynamic range

They have similar quality, but the white color performance of the iPhone 11 is not very good. The red background is dominant, while the Note 20 defines the white color more accurately, but it explodes in bright white colors and loses the details in the white. You can see this through the clouds. Maybe this problem can be fixed with the ISO setting. As a result, color accuracy, Note 20 is the winner in terms of object details, color saturation, night shots, presenting the image as best as possible during zoom...

You cannot judge that from this comparison because the reviewer leaves the scene mode as well as beauty mode on on all Samsung cameras. If your turn those two off the picture quality improves significantly.

The Pixels are good but I don't like their excess sharpening/clarity slider effect; sometimes this makes things look yuk. Especially on certain selfies, or in some backlit situations. The other times it's great. I'd probably take raw photos and edit them anyway for many scenes, however tiny sensors and modern computation makes even this a tradeoff.

when i see these pictures, i remember how good sony phones cameras are....i, myself use an iphone 11 pro and im happy with it. But as an old sony user (z3c, z5) i know how good their cameras are despites their non-consistency.

Note 20 has to give the option to toggle on and off skin smoothing and reduce photo saturation.

Some reviewers turn that off but still get smooth faces.

You must have scene optimizer mode on, on the Note 20. Photos are more natural without it.
If a phone comes with the AI (scene optimizer) turned on from the box it stays like that for the video

I agree with your findings Alex, the Note's main camera seems sharper to me in daylight.
