Superfruit (Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi of Pentatonix) have a cover of Katy Perry's RISE with Brian Justin Crum, Mario Jose and Mary Lambert. It's well worth listening to. I think it's a crime that these artists are not better known.

AGT is the best performance of Creep by him.
I agree, the AGT performance of Creep is his best version and the background you get on BJC just makes it more poignant.

Agreed! A must watch! I mentioned Brian’s version in the comment section here before. All of his performances are great, but ESPECIALLY Creep. He also does Somebody To Love by Queen, and several others. He should’ve won.
I love BJC. Thanks for this reaction! His America's Got Talent performance of Creep is spine tingling. Worth checking out even if you don't do a reaction. The audience reaction was stunned silence. I have no idea when he took a breath in that one. Very talented man! His cover of Shallow, the Lady Gaga song is also phenomenal.

New sub here. I’m so impressed with your musical (specifically vocal) knowledge. BJC has been a fav since Creep 2016 AGT. But there are a whole lot of things to listen to. Maybe one of the great vocal talents of this generation. As a retired opera singer, I don’t ever give that kind of praise because I’m picky, but he has IT! And every video you see, those eyes follow the camera so you know he’s singing just to you.😊
His cover of Praying by Ke$ha is one of the best songs on youtube.

There are many singers who can belt. There are few who can belt and then draw back to softness without their voice cracking or going off key.

As a Queen mega fan I'm sure you'd be interested to know that BJC's first audition on America's Got Talent was singing Queen's 'Somebody to Love.' I feel like he can channel Freddie Mercury quite well. His 'Creep' rendition was epic and I think tends to overshadow his original audition.
Suggestion - it's the best reimagining of Over the Rainbow I've ever heard. Still get chills EVERY time I hear it. Sad story but check it out. Eva Cassidy's Over the Rainbow. -- I LOVE this version.

Can someone tell me what happened to BJC? After the SuperFruit deal, he disappeared from what I can see.I heard he went back to driving a limo. I sure hope not, because he really needs to be singing, I know during the AGT interview his mom said that singing is all he ever wanted to do. He has the voice for it.
He's one of my fav singers but I really wish in this performance he would have pulled the mic out of his mouth. He sounds so much better when he doesn't look like he's eating mic. It's so static sounding

He has such a fabulous voice, and I love his interpretations of songs. I liked his eye contact with the camera, and that smile at the end was so sweet. I kept envisioning Celine and Rene reuniting.
