Big island boi you said it before i could. Ive been riding for almost 30 yrs. Have been over that bridge many times. They both were driving at a speed above their skill level. Ive had many close calls like that when i first started. There are some messed up roadways. Speed and skill level is usually the problem like u said.

Transplant doctors told us they get more donations this time of year because motorcycles, ATVs, etc are being ridden. Make sure to have organ donation on your license if you ride.
Um... what about SPEED as a contributing factor here? I've been riding motorcycles for 50 yrs... and the vast majority of single vehicle crashes like this--be they cars or trucks or motorcycles--involve EXCESSIVE speed. But, that being said, I've also encountered countless (THOUSANDS) of road conditions that were potentially deadly to motorcyclists over the years.. because ALL roadway users EXCEPT for cars and trucks are 100% an AFTERTHOUGHT to roadway designers and builders in Texas...and across the country. However... in this case... is these guys had not been flying down the road at high speeds, they almost certainly would not have crashed.
Slow the f down and drive like u have some sense.
Easy file a lawsuit and you will see how fast they will try to fix that issue when they have to pay out a large lumpsum.
You’re right, my friend it was 100% preventable…….. slow down……. I’ll bet both of the riders involved we’re riding crotch rockets
