I love how you talk yourself up Dan but your dad will never agree with you. He just chuckles and changes the subject and I think that's hilarious. Also you did a great job comforting him and giving him what he needed with this spell he went through.
It doesn’t happen to this degree every single day with Ed. My mom is 92 as well and with dementia. She lives with me. They do have hard days, mostly hard hours as those moments pass. Dan is handling it in the most loving and clear way a caregiver could. This disease is the cruelest. Side note; My mom LOVES watching Dr Salinger. She commented one day, “ he makes me feel ok and not so alone in this.” :’) God bless us all.
Dan, you are amazing the way you comfort your dad and reassure him. You explain everything to him and make sure he understands you. I give you props because it takes a strong man with willpower to have the level headedness that you possess. So patient and kind. Bless you and your family.
Oh Dan, I'm sorry that is the most difficult part of us caregivers go through. The hardest part is seeing our parents who were so smart and educated, deteriorating before our eyes
Cant agree more. From one daughter of dementia to another, Bless you and may you have time to recharge your mind, body and soul’s batteries as you need. Its not so easy to do some days. ❤️❤️❤️

Bless his heart 😢 I lost my dad two weeks ago. He also suffered from dementia. Dementia was the cruelest thing to watch happen to my dad but the worst heartbreak in my life is the loss of him being here on earth. I've never felt so much emptiness inside, I miss him so much. Thank you for sharing your Pop with us. You have no idea how much binge watching him on here has helped me get through this unbearable loss in my life. Cherish every moment. Even the hard times. I would give anything for one more moment with my Dad. 😭❤ Holding on one day at a time.
Sincerest condolences to you. Our Dad died 50 years ago last month and he is missed and never forgotten. Our mother died 62 years ago, and she is always thought of and missed.
Son is always so happy and upbeat no matter what. Dad is a gem and a gift no matter how his day may be along with the things he remembers or has forgotten.

Sweet man looks tired. Thank you Dan for being patient. I experienced the same type of days with my mom. Sundowner makes the evening sooo long. He seems gentle, my mom was quite opposite. Prayers.
Dan you know food is a way that Ed keeps account of his daily routine. That’s a sense of security to him. So always reassuring him of when he will have his next meal is a good way to keep him grounded. Lots of decaf in front of the tv when there are no other plans for the day.
