The technique is good in terms of plaster work finishes because it saves on that, but the negative side is that you have to invest a lot in formwork and scaffold therefore expensive.
If u live in very warm or very cold places, look for icf guys, is the best insulation solution, plus the house becomes like a bunker, bullet proof, tornado and quake resistant. And the cost of it is alright, not much expensive. Depending on the thickness of the icf block it can be even cheaper, plus it's MUCH faster than traditional building, look for quad block so u guys can have an ideia.
mono= single, lithic= rock. so its like construction or construction that is made out of a single rock or concrete pour that has no joints unlike in masonry.
I notice that most of the examples of high rises I've seen being built like this are in developing countries. Is that just happenstance or is there some code reason why it can't be done like this in the west? Or am I just imagining things and I've just missed all of the buildings using this method 'locally'?
I can say that the person who created this beautiful animation surely doesn't have sufficient civil engineering knowledge to promote a construction technique.
