I was diagnosed with pneumonia in the lower lung lobe 4 days ago. I'm on two antibiotics, I'm still not feeling great but better than I was at the beginning. I'll start moving around more today. Great video
How you feeling now ? I had cough and dr keep saying it’s viral for 3 weeks ,finally diagnosed with pneumonia 5 days ago ,completed 4 days of antibiotics,1 day left
I have been hospitalized twice with pneumonia, and I've been fighting it for a few months now. I'm finally starting to cough stuff up. I am getting pestered by people who think I should be better by now. Didn't ask for this, this has been the most difficult sickness I have ever experienced. Still on oxygen, and it's hard to rest because I have dogs and animals to care for. Tired of this, it really affects your mental health.
So relieved to read your comment, got pneumonia 8 weeks ago and it was really really bad, like fever for 3 weeks couldn't walk the length of the house bad... the mental toll is epic, I too am getting hassled by people who think I should be well by now but every day is still such a struggle- especially at the moment I live on a farm in QLD and it's that time of year everyone is burning off - the smoke is just unbearable on my lungs. Wishing you all the best with your recovery ❤️🩹
Thank you So much Dr. My son recently had pneumonia and admitted In hospital as gp couldn’t figure out early but he got treated and now better. I am getting more awareness about pneumonia so to educate myself . Thanks .
Hi I hope u got well now , I have chest infection for about four months now I had difficulty in breathing because of mucus but not got better but start having crackling
Having rales after recovering is totally normal. The important part is that your lungs are no longer inflamed. After the infection and inflamation stops, the lungs are left with a bunch of detritus waste that tames time to come out, so its normal to have a little crackling and bubbling sounds and to cough out phlegm. Its always a good idea to go see a pneumologist and have an spirometry test, especially after a bad pneumonia to know the state of your lungs and look for any possible obstructive patterns. So long as your body temperature is fine and your oxigenation is within acceptable levels, everything os fine
I had bacterial pneumonia in both lungs in 2017, which I recovered from. I've had 4 COVID infections despite being vacxed and boostered. This last COVID infection, Dec 23, has left me with a dry cough and tiredness which is not going away. My question is how would my lungs have been affected from both pneumonia and 4 COVID infections?
I was admitted into hospital for a week with pneumonia I’m 61 I’ve never felt so ill I had 10 IV antibiotics & I was on permanent oxygen until I went home . I also had three weeks antibiotics 1000mgs although my cough is less I’m suffering with fatigue . Thank you for your video how long does it normally take to get back to normal health ?
Thanks for this informative and concise piece. Many variables but at least you've outlined them. Do you recommend any other ways to help the lungs 'heal' after pneumonia?? Breathing exercises? Thank you again.
English is not my first language. I don’t understand, I went to the ER because I tought something was wrong with my heart and took several tests, also checking my lungs. My heart was fine. But the doctor said It Looks like I have a very mild infection in my lungs, he started asking me if I got any virus but I have agoraphobia and have not met any person in 2 months, so it has to be trough my cat that goes outside or when I was at the store (wich is weird cause I don’t go to small stores and never in rush times). I don’t feel any problem with my breething at all, and I never did. Just very mild uncomfort in my chest area. How is all of this possible? Im 26 years old and have no sickness history just common flue every 5 year or so. Ive never had covid. doctor sent me home without any healing tips or treatment, cause it was so mild. Im just starting to feel very warm after beeing at the hospital yesterday, like I have a fever. But no problem breething, no cough. My whole body just feels warm an heavy. And I have no clue when Im supposed to be well or what to do. Im so confused
