Hairy Man: Alaska's Bigfoot

  • For centuries, indigenous storytellers across the western half of North America have told tales of wild giants who live solitary lives in the forests and mountains. The Hupa Indians of northwestern California called these creatures ‘Omah’. The Coast Salish of southwestern British Columbia knew them as ‘Sasquatch’. In Alaska, they are often referred to as ‘Hairy Men’.

I am a 70 year Alaskan. In King Salmon or Dillingham in the early 1980s, there were several Supercubs damaged by what was thought as a griz, but this was in January, too late and too early for any bear to be out. Further, the tracks to the treeline were not bear, and no one wanted to go to the treeline to investigate. The tracks were very large and human-like. Channel 2 news and others in the state carried the story. The owners of the damaged aircraft were more than a little concerned over what had damaged their airplanes.

Im Alaska too. I spend a LOT of time in the wilds. I've seen and heard things I cannot explain and that I wished I hadn't seen. You cannot unsee or unhear such things. There is a forest area up here I used to exclusively use for survival training. I won't go there anymore unless its daytime and good weather. There are things out there but no Tv show or YT vid could fathom the reality of it.

In Australia my wife and I were on a caravan holiday. We went for a walk in some old growth gum tree forest following a track. Suddenly I was worried and aware. It was quiet but a hot sunny day. I looked across a ditch and saw a small movement on the other side 10m away 6ft up. I saw through a patch of bush red golden long hair move and move away in seconds, felt like a back shoulder. I quickly looked at my wife I quickly in alarm as she was closer and ahead of me and she was frozen looking in the same direction. I said quietly walk fast and keep quiet do it now. We fast marched it to a clearing and all I said was did you see and she said I saw a huge red hairy arm!! that moved off into the bush. I know kangaroos and am a hunter. This experience totally doesn’t make sense and made me go online and I found out about the many thousands of sightings of the yowie the Aussie hairy man. Man we learnt a lot that day

We were picking blackberries on our farm down beside the river (in NZ) and found lots of tufts of red hair stuck in the barbed wire fence. We had a sheep farm and there were no animals with that kind of fur/hair around at all. I remember getting a very strange feeling come over me when we were wondering what it was. I think it was probably from the same thing you saw.

He was miles out in the wilderness and it sounded absolutely terrifying.

No booze or anything. I see what for a second I thought must be a big dog, then realised it was a huge, black cat. Not the house type, the jungle variety. Walking slowly but was. 50 feet away I’d say. In seconds it was out of my sight. I did think about turning around for another look, but I kept going. Probably a wise move. I later looked into it and there turns out to be sightings of these beasts for 100s of years. I have no idea what such an animal would be doing not far from London.

      @StarWarsJay Місяць тому

@@phoenixrising6245 wow. Can you remember the airfield’s name? I tell you why; about three years ago, I rented a holiday home in the south of Suffolk. I went exploring the area with my dog and we found a disused airfield. My dog wouldn’t stop growling and he was jumpy which wasn’t like him. He didn’t like it there one bit. If it turns out there’s a big black cat on the prowl up there, it makes sense why he was so scared. I got a weird feeling there too. Doesn’t it make you see the British countryside in another light once you see these cats. I used to have an ambition of hiking from London to Dover using an isolated foot way (the pilgrims path I think), but since seeing a puma with my own eyes? Nah, no chance. Especially not on my own. Tw, was your disused airfield near a WW2 RAF museum/airfield? I seem to remember one of those close by.

We have more than one living near our back yard here in Florida. I seen one about 80 to 100 foot away one morning between 7 or 8 foot tall, it's chest was about 3 foot thick, orange hair, black eyes and face and walked like it was floating. My son seen the big one one night pushing trees through the woods. I found 29 inch footprints and the ground did shake with each step it took, We estimated it to be 12 to 14 foot tall and it smelled like a sewer, I know because I slept in a tent in my son's backyard for a year after my wife died from COVID-19 when the pandemic began. I love nature and sleeping in the tent is the only thing that gave me happiness and Yes the sasquatch i saw telepathically told me as i stared into it's eyes ( you will let me walk past you and i will not hurt you) and So I did . If you visit Florida and want to see a sasquatch just skip Disney world and Go camping, I've had many contacts with them , I suggest don't interact, just observe. Good video

One thing that always confused me about Bigfoot stories is, as in this story. The Bigfoot approached the hunter, pulled out his sleeping bag, and then left footprints that can be followed. Why did it then tell the guy it wanted to be left alone? If that's the case then the thing shouldn't have approached the guy in the first place. It could have easily just walked around and away without the hunter ever knowing it was around. That's my biggest concern about all these sightings. Bigfoot wants to be left alone and not let people near their area. But they'll readily walk into our area, even on to our property, and let people know they're around. So maybe that are curious about humans. Okay, but then they shouldn't get all bent out of shape when people then start to find out why they're hanging around their homes. It's a two-way street there Bigfoot. You laid down the rules so get used to it.

My cousins and I believe we saw a Yowie one summer in the late 70’s in the bush on the NSW South Coast of Australia. We were walking along an isolated bush track and were throwing rocks into the bush as we walked. We glanced to our left as we threw a rock which cracked as it hit the bark of a large tree and that’s when we saw it. It was in a stride and beside us, but probably 50 metres away. My immediate thought on seeing was why is there a gorilla in the bush. Without any conversation between all three of us we immediately ran at the same time back to where we had moored our small boat. We all thought to run at the same time. We were terrified. We never told anyone because we thought we’d get into trouble for going where we did alone and we didn’t think anyone would believe three kids.

Michigan one full moon night my wife and I decided to walk to the back pond on the farm 1 mile from home. As walking around north side there was a snort. My wife looked at me to see if I was concerned, I told her it was a buck deer it was a 7 ft . Squash! Forward outlook for the clan who stayed on our farm. We walked around between river and pond. Across dam, I knew we were safe from stalking by cougar/blackbear. My wife inquired a few days later! If you knew the “Hairy Man was on our farm why did you let me ride the snowmobile to the river at night? I told her. The Alpha, told me they were afraid of her because they noticed I was😂

With the cost of Thermal Vision devices dropping in price and becoming quite common in hunting and non-hunting circles, we shall find out soon enough if ole Bigfoot is real. Just a matter of time before one gets painted, that is, if they are real…of….course…

@hammersonpeters I don't know if you remember me commenting on one of your older videos, I'm originally from Ireland but I've been living on the Pic River reserve in Northern Ontario since 2021. I've had two instances of discovering large prints in the snow/sand. I said that I'd post the footage for you but got distracted with my newborn girl.
I was out with my son on the atv 2 days ago down on the beach and noticed large prints in the sand again, I wouldn't have been able to follow them as they were going up a very steep incline, but I took some footage and uploaded it to the shorts part of my youtube page aswell as footage of the prints that I seen in the snow the first year I was here.
It could be nothing, but they were both in pretty secluded places and both on our Powwow grounds. Both sets of prints were far larger than my feet, I'm only a size 11 but still, it was strange.

So Dana Jacallen gets his sleeping mat stolen from under him by an eight foot tall wild man, he chases him up the hill, climbs a tree, corners the big fella up that tree (?) then the big fella telepathically persuades Dana that he should leave him alone because he just wants to be left in peace. ...Now this is one clever con-Sasquatch, he steels a guy's sleeping mat, then, when he gets caught, he persuades his pursuer (with a toothy smile no less) that it is he who is in the wrong in considering drawing a bead on the thief! Meheheh! Dana, you got done over good and proper there! 😂

Some people question that if bigfoot is a homo sapiens, then killing one would be homicide.

Sasquatch is a made up English version of a butchered Native word. Which is why I prefer the more technical words "bigfoot" or "relic hominoid".

Sorry, but you are incorrect as the word of the First Nations peoples in southwestern British Columbia for Sasquatch is Sasq'ets. Out of respect for these people, it is important to be correct. For their sake, please post a correction, thanks and keep up the good work.
